Wofe Reunion
Under ideal weather condi-
tions, Seaforth Lions Park on
Saturday August 10, was the
setting for the Wolfe Reunion,
attended by over one hundred
members of the clan from
Stratford, Listowel, Seabring-
ville, Goderich, Seaforth, Bruce -
field, Strathroy, London, Kitch-
ener, Clinton, Islington and
Hensall.
Executive appointed for 1964
were: president, Frank Wolfe,
Stratford; treasurer, Robert
Wolfe, Stratford; secretary,
Mrs. Frank Varley, Hensall;
sports, Mrs. Jack Peebles, Lis-
towel; Mrs. Glenn. Deitz, Lon-

Hamilton, Kitchener; Mrs. Nor-

A full line .of sports were
run off directed by Mrs. Frank
Varley and Mrs. Earl Dill, and
the winners were: Races, 2 and

Brian Cooper; 4 and 5, Glenda
Deitz, Diane Moir; 6 and 7,

News of HENSALL Disiriet
Mr. R. M. Peck, who has been
a patient in -South Huron Hos-
pital, Exeter, returned home
Friday evening much improved
in health.
Mrs. Ron Moir and family
who have been visiting with
Mr, and Mrs. George Moir for
the past week returned to their
home in Strathroy Saturday.
Large congregations attended
divine worship at the United
Church Sunday morning. Rev.
Harold Currie delivered a very
inspiring message, and the
Misses Ann Mickle and Nancy
Kyle rendered a lovely duet
"How Beautiful Heaven Must
Be". Mrs. Robert Pryde accom-
panied at the organ consol.
Mr. and Mrs, Fred Howe,
London, were weekend guests
with Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Peck.

Mrs. Grace Harpole who has
been vacationing with her
family, Mr. and Mrs. D. H. Pea-

in Quebec, has returned to her
home in Hensall.

spent last week holidaying with
Miss Ann Mickle.
Hensall Woinens Institute
will present a program at
Huronview, Wednesday, August
21, at 2 p.m. Any members
wishing transportation are ask-

Tenders Wanted
Sealed Tenders will be received by the undersigned
up to 6 o'clock P.M., Friday, August 30, 1963, for the
digging, laying and backfilling of the Brock Street drain,
consisting of 325 feet of 8 inch sewer tile with two catch
basins. The York Crescent drain consisting of 300 feet of
8 inch sewer tile, 150 feet of 10 inch sewer tile, 1400 feet
of 12 inch field tile, 165 feet of 14 inch field tile and
20 feet of 16 inch galvanized pipe, with three catch basins.
Lowest or any Tenders not necessarily accepted. For
further particulars apply at the Clerk's Office, Town Hall,
Hensall.

cipal Act and other powers thereunto enabling The
Council of the Corporation of the Village of Hensall
proposes to pass a by-law to stop up and close a portion
of Wellington Street which said portion may be more
particularly described as follows:

were entertained at a party on
Saturday, Aug, 10, at the home
of their daughter and son-in-
law, Mr. and Mrs. Don Dodds
of Seaforth, in honor of their
30th wedding anniversary. The
event was attended by their
friends from Brucefield and
Seaforth, and they were pre-
sented with lovely gifts in
honor of the occasion with pre-
sentations made by Larry,
Glenn, and Karen McGregor, of
Brucefield. Mrs. Roobol was
also presented with a corsage
and Mr. Roobol a boutonere, A
delicious buffet supper was ser-
ved on the lawn with the tea
table centred with an anniver-
sary cake flanked with vases of
gladioli, Zinnias, and candel-
abra.
Mr. and Mrs. Alex McMurtrie,
of Toronto, spent a couple of
days with relatives this past
week in this vicinity,
Mrs, Fred Rawlins, who has
been visiting with her aunt,
Mrs. C. L. Jinks for the past
3 months, returned by plane
last Tuesday to Vancouver.
Mr. Lorne McNaughton is a
patient in St. Joseph's Hospital,
London.

who is on vacation with his
grandparents, Mr, and Mrs.
Lorne McNaughton, is a patient
in South Huron Hospital,
Exeter.
Mrs, J. E. McEwen, Mrs.
Ross Haugh and Linda of Credi-
ton, attended the play "Cemedy
of Horrors" at the Shakes-
pearean Festival at Stratford
recently.
Mr. and Mrs. Francis Troyer
and family of Tillsonburg spent
Sunday with their cousins, Mr.
and Mrs. Gordon Troyer and
family, whom they met for the
first time.

Farewell Party
The choir of Brucefield
United Church recently enter-
tained Rev. and Mrs. A. N.
Johnson prior to them leaving
for Stratford. A short program
proceeded an address read by
Mrs. Mae Wilson, expressing
regret at the termination of a
happy relationship between the
choir and their minister and his
wife during the past three
years. A presentation was made
by Mrs. J. R. Murdoch of a liv-
ing room lamp to Mr. and Mrs.
Johnson, and a boquet of roses
to Mrs. Johnson. Following Mr.
Johnson's expression of ap-
preciation on behalf of himself
and his wife, a social hour was
enjoyed and lunch served.
Miss Joan Hopkinson has re-
turned to her home in Lion's
Head, accompanied by her cou-
sin, Miss Carolyn Cook,
Miss Elaine Keys is visiting
her aunt and uncle, Mr. and
Mrs. Ronald Burt and family,
in Sault Ste. Marie.
Mr. and Mrs. Gary Corlett,
Bryan, Diane and Geoffrey, To-
ronto, are visiting for a few
clays with Mr. and Mrs. N. E.
Cook.
Home From West
Mr. and Mrs. Alex Mousseau
and Mrs. Luella Willert have
returned home from a delight-
ful four weeks' motor trip to
Saskatchewan, Moose Jaw and
other places of interest. During
their travels they paid a sur-
prise visit to F/O Ralph Me -
Arthur and family, at Rivers,
Man. Mrs. McArthur is the
former Elaine Beer of Hensall.
They travelled over four thous-
and miles, motoring through
Northern Ontario and returning
by the States.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Reste-
mayer of Dashwood and Mrs.
Lovina Miller of Zurich were
Sunday guests with Mrs. Luella
Willert.
