Neil Toylar, an employee of
Hensall District Co -Op for four
and one-half years, who is leav-
ing December 1 to join the Air
Force at St. Johns, Quebec, was
honored by the staff and em-
ployees at a farewell banquet
at the Dominion Hotel, Zurich,
last Friday evening, and pre-
sented with a gift. He is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Orville
Taylor.
Mrs. Lou Simpson, while

Mrs. Peter McKenzie, of
Kippen, and Mr, and Mrs. Stan-
ley Mead, of Mt. Forest, expect
to leave with in the next two
weeks for Jacksonville, Florida,
to spend the winter months.

C. Goodwin, and Mrs. Fred
Beer, visited with Mrs. Janet
Peck, of Burlington, recently.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Knights, and
Mr. and Mrs. on Rigby, of
Blenheim, visited Iast week -end
with Mr. and Mrs. Harry Snell.
Flt/Sgt. John and Mrs. Beer,
David, Johnny and Steven, of
Camp Borden, recently visited
with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Beer.
Ken Richardson is in Toronto
for two weeks taking a special
home of Mrs. John Sinelair on
Tuesday evening. It was decid-
ed to hold a Sunday School
concert on Wednesday evening,
December 20.
Visitors with Mr. and Mrs.
Bert Faser for the American
Thanksgiving Holiday were; Mr.
and Mrs. Nathan Phillips, Ruth,
Rose and Rebecca, and Mrs.
Lewis Brown, of Jeddo, Michi-
gan, also Mr, and Mrs. Albert
Alexander, of Hensall.
Mrs. Charles MacKay recei-
ved word of the sudden death
of her brother, James Clark, of
School Lake, Manitoba. Mr. and
Mrs. MacKay left Wednesday
to attend the funeral, which
was held on Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Huchi-
son and son Ross, of St. Thoma,
and Mr. Wilfred Mellis, of Kip -
pen, attended the funeral Sun-
day of their Aunt, Mrs. Rach-
ael King, of Gorrie.
The former neighbors and
friends at Kippen will regret
learning Mrs. James McLean,
of Seaforth, is hospitalized in
Scott Memorial Hospital, Sea
forth. A speedy recovery is
hoped for.
Mr. and Mrs. Orville Work-
man visited a day recently with
the former's uncle, Mr. Sam
Cudmore, also Mr. and Mrs.
Charlie Cudmore.
Mr. and Mrs. N. Dickert
visited relatives at Clifford on
Sunday.
Mrs. Pearl Love and Wayne,
of Sarnia, and. Mrs. John Mc-
Bride, of Zurich, visited Sunday
with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Jones
and boys. Mrs. Jones spent
Monday afternoon in Goderich.

the first time.

and John Masse. Strathroy re-
plied with two markers, one at
the seven minute mark and the
other at the 15 minute mark.

On Thursday evening, Novem-
ber 23, the Womens Missionary
Society met at the home of Mrs.
Elgin McKinley. Mrs. Allan
Armstrong was in charge of the
worship with Scripture reading
by Mrs. Kieth McBride. During
the business, cards were recei-
ved from Mrs. Howard Arm
strong and daughter Julia, the
Robinson family and Mr. and
Mrs. Roy McBride. All were in
favour of sending the mission-
ary for prayer a remembrance
at Christmas.
A few well chosen words by
Mrs. Russell Erratt led to the
presentation, by Mrs. Bruce
Keyes on behalf of the society,
to Mrs. Minnie Hayter, a life
membership pin. She will be
moving soon to her new home
in Varna.
