Goshen Women's Missionary Society met on Thursday night, September 21, at the home of Mrs. Ti Pitt, Varna, with 20 pre- sent. The meeting opened with singing the hymn, "0 Jesus I have promised," followed by prayer. Mrs. Bruce Keyes conducted the business. Nine calls to the sick were reported made during the month. A thank you card was received from Mrs. Claren- ce Parke. Also thank you no- tes from Mr. and Mrs. Norman Johnston for the donation sent to them, and from the Over- seas Relief Fund Committee. The Scripture was taken by Mrs. Jack Eckel with meditation on Scripture by Mrs. Richard Robinson. Mrs. Elmer Hayter introduced the Study Book for the coming year—"Social Cen- tre or Power House." Mrs. Bob Peck took the first chapter— the story of a girl named Jean- nie from a book of stories, "Hasty Day." The Sectional meeting on Oc- tober 25 was brought to atten- tion with plans for around 100 ladies.
