The program consisted of a Cyclorame of a Christian Wo- man's Life in poetry and song, with Mrs. E. H. Rader as nar- rator, and Mrs. Edgar Reste-- mayer as pianist. Eight scenes unfolded in pantonine, birth— baptism—childhood — Sunday School — girlhood — confirma- tion — romance — wedding — motherhood — homemaker — service to church — Christian growth workshop — prayer — elderly lady with her Bible. The 50th anniversary of the Ladies Aid will be celebra- ted on Sunday, September 17. New blinds will be purchased for the parsonage. Grades one and two of Dash- wood public school are planning a trip to' the Detroit zoo, on June 9. There is room for 15 adults. Mrs. Leonard Schenk, pre- sident of the Dashwood Wom- en's Institute, attended the 25th anniversary of Hensall WI, on Friday, May 12. Mr. and Mrs, Harold Maine and girls, of Kitchener, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Rein- hold Miller. Mr• and Mrs. Earl Stumpf and girls, of Kitchener, spent Sun- day with relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Storms and Michael Slota, of St. Thom- as, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Mervyn Tieman and Lynda, on Sunday. Miss Erma Wein, of Clinton, spent the weekend with Mrs. Herb Wein. Mother and Daughter Banquet About 70 members and guests enjoyed a mother and daughter banquet on Friday, May 12, at the EUB Church, sponsored by the WSWS. Mrs. Howard Klumpp and her committee were in charge of the banquet, with the Christian so- cial relations group in charge of the program. Rev. J. W. Gillings proposed a toast to the Queen. Mrs. Gor- don Bender was chairlady. Mrs. Harold Kellerman proposed a toast to the daughters and Miss Shirley Bender from the daugh- ters to the mothers. Mrs. Ward Neeb led in pray- er. Mrs. Eben Wiegand and Miss Helen Rader read poems. Misss Lynda Tiernan played a piano solo. Judy and Bonnie Mason, Beth Snell and Bever- ly Becker sang a quartette. Mrs. A. M. Amacher, of Zur- ich, was guest speaker, speaking on the subject "The Christian Family Home." She was thank- ed by Mrs. Bender. Mrs• Charles Snell, the persident, thanked thanked the groups in charge of the supper and program. Used postage stamps and old nylons are to be brought to the June meeting for the Japanese Missions. Fletcher, of Exeter, was the guest speaker at the May meeting of the Hensall Women's Institute, last Wednes- day night, attended by 72 mem- bers and special guests. Grand- mothers were special guests for the occassion. Mrs. Fletcher, introduced by Mrs. N. E. Cook, spoke on "China Paintings," and advised all the persons present that they should have a hobby of some sort• "Hobbies are good for self discipling, it means loving what we do, and we can't do this without thinking of the Great Creator," the speaker ad- ded. A skit, representing Mrs. 1897 and Mrs. 1961, was portrayed by Mrs. Flossie Stade and her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Melvin Stade, from Dashwood. Joyce Flynn and Linda Lenaghan sang a duett in costume "Little Old Lady." Miss Greta Lammie was accompanist. The visitors, great grandmoth- ers, were each presented a nose- gay.
