MAY 11, 1961 ITEMS ABOUT TOWN Mr. and Mrs. Bob Bryce and fam- ily, Toronto, spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs, Doug O'Brien, Mr. and Mrs. Reg Illesley, Lon- don, were Sunday guests with Mr. and Mrs. Ed Gascho. Mr. and Mrs. William O'Brien and Jimmy, Toronto, spent the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leroy O'Brien. Mrs, Theresa Stark is spending' a couple of weeks at the home of her sister, in Tecumseh. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Risk and family were weekend visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Yungblut and other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Case and family, of Newmarket, visited with relatives in Zurich over the week- end. Mrs, Lloyd O'Brien is spending a couple of weeks at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Weber, Goderich. Dr. R. F. Schnell, principal of St. Andrew's College of the United Church of Canada, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, spent several days last week with Mrs, Adolph Kalb- fleisch and Mrs. W. H. Hurlburt. Miss Gloria Gingerich, RN, and friend, Wally Dicks and Mrs. M. Dicks. of Waterloo, and Mr. and Mrs. Victor Gingerich and family, of Waterloo, spent Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Gin- gerich. Mr. and Mrs• Ed Hartman, Kit- chener, were Sunday evening vis- itors with Mrs. Theresa Hartman, in Zurich. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Ross, of Seaforth, were Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs• C. L. Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Herb Neeb, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Neeb, Wendy, Vicky, and Kimberly Hay, spent Sunday with Mrs. Neeb's mother, Mrs. Ida Munson, and sister, Mr. and Mrs. John McFarlane, of Glencoe, also with her niece, Mr. and Mrs. Stan- ley Gough, of Appin. Robert Westlake is spending some time in Toronto, where he is atending the Canadian School of Embalming, Rev. and Mrs. Leonard Schnell of Saskatoon, Sask., spent the week- end eekend with Mrs. Adolph Kalbfleiseh and Mrs. W. H. Hurlburt. The Schnell's picked up a new car in Windsor. Mrs. Gordon Hay entertained relatives and friends at a birthday supper for her father, on May 3. Moved To Zurich Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Thiel, of Toronto, have moved their effects from that city to the residence they recently purchased in Zurich from the John Brown estate, Their many friends welcome them to Zurich. Pic._ Committees For Corning Year The May meeting of the St. Bon- iface CWL, was held in the town hall, Tuesday evening, 'with 25 members present. The meeting was opened with prayer . by past president, Mrs- Pearson. A cordial invitation was exten- ded to all members of the CWL to attend the official opening and blessing of St. Marie School, St. Joseph, which is being held on Sunday, May 14, at 7:30 p.m. DST. All members were urged to get their ticket returns in on the quilt before June 13, on which day the lucky draw will be made, In May there is also a member- ship drive on and all ladies of St. Boniface are urged to join the Catholic Women's League. The new committee convenors were announced: spiritual, Mrs. H. Dietrich, Mrs. Alphonse Dietrich; education, Mrs. Mozart Gelinas, Mrs. Lloyd Denomme; citizenship and immigration, Mrs. William Die- trich, Mrs. T. Hartman, Mrs. F. Regier, Mrs. D. Bedard; organiza- tion, resolutions, report forms, Mrs. A, Grenier; press, Mrs. J. Pearson; social action, Mrs. Ivan Meidinger, Mrs. R. Meidinger; rad- io, TV film, Mrs. J. Bengough. The Catholic Women's League director, Rev. Father Doyle, was present. He thanked the out go- ing executive and all members for their co-operation and work during the past year, and officially instal- led the new slate of officers. Fa- ther Doyle pointed out to the mem- bers present the different projects the League could undertake to help the parish and school, and of the worth -while work all ladies belong- ing to the CWL are able to partic- ipate in. After the business part of the meeting, Mrs. Delores Sehilbe, Beauty Counsellor representative, gave the ladies a talk on sensible skin care and natural make-up.
