Entertains at County Home
Members of the WSWS of the
Evangelical United Brethren chur-
ch motored to Clinton on Wednes-
day, to present a program to the
ones in residence there. Mrs. Char-
les Snell, was chairlady and Mrs.
Mervyn Tieman presided at the pia-
no.
A power failure and the use of
the local generator proved most
amusing, as the ones on the pro-
gram found themselves using much
gusto in order to be heard.
Rev. and Mrs. J. W. Gillings sang
several duets. A quortet of ladies:
Mrs. Howard Klumpp, Mrs. Ward
Neeb, Mrs. Gerald Mason and Mrs.
Lloyd Eagleson, sang. Mrs. George
Link, Mrs. Carl Oestreiche'r, and
Mrs. Howard Klumpp gave read-
ings.
They took along two gallons of
maple syrup as a gift. Miss Erma
Wein showed the group through the
new addition. Mrs. Mary Tiernan,
Mrs. George Wiegand and Hartman
Elsie were very happy to visit with
the folks from home and also attend
the program.
