Mr. and Mrs. Orland Gerber, and family, of Baden, were Sunday visitors with the former's mother, Mrs, M. Gerber, in Zurich, Mr. and Mrs. Don Hartman, of London, spent a few days over the weekend at the home of Mr, and Mrs. Ben McCann. Mr. and Mrs, Gene Ducharme and Wayne, of Clinton, also Mr. and Mrs, Don Ducharme and Mr, and Mrs, Len Tocker and family, of Lon- don, were weekend viistors at their parent's home, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Ducharme. Mr. and Mrs. Neil Walker and family have moved from their ap- artment above the Mousseau and Parkins garage to their new home west of the village. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Biowes, of Preston, were weekend visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Gas- eho. The latter is spending a week in Zurich. Mr. and Mrs. Elomre Beirlin, of the Bluewater Highway, have mov- ed to the farm they purchased nor- th of Zurich, formerly owned by Robert Clausius, Mrs. C. F. Bowden and son, Peter, of Toronto, were weekend visitors with the former's mother, Mrs. Anne Turkheim. George Deichert and Mr, and Mrs. G. K, Crocker have returned home after a pleasant vacation in Flori- da and other parts of the southern United States. Rev, and Mrs, W. P. Fischer and family spent several days earlier this week with relatives and friends in Waterloo, INJURED Don Hartman, Zurich, working at a Goderich warehouseing firm, was slightly injured last Wednesday, when he tripped against a handle of a cart loaded with salt. FRED Popular Pastime Recently there has been several quilting bees in the neighbourhood, Perhaps half a dozen or more wo- men get together around the quilt while chatting, renewing past inci- dents, and bringing back memor- ies of years gone by helps to pass away the time and with its passing it brings their quilt task to com- pletion. These ambitious have much home work to do but they feel that they receive much for giv- ing iving their help to their neighbour and besides it is a change from. their home routine. Mr. and Mrs. Leon Bedard of this highway, left their home three weeks ago for London. It was some DUCHARME. The last report was that his operation was a complete success and he is now looking forward to returning to his home on this highway. Master Freddie and little Elaine Ducharme. of the Blue Water south, spent Friday afternoon last with their grandparents, north of St. Joseph. Yours truly and Mrs. Ducharme spent a few days in Dashwood with Mr. and Mrs. Leo Ducharme, and son, David Alfred. At the same time it was an occasion for Mr. Ducharme to call on old firends.
