PERSONALS
Mrs. Elizzie Hey, who has been
a patient at South Huron Hospital,
has been moved to Parkwood Hos-
pital, on. Grand Avenue, in London.
Mr. and Mrs. Elmore Oesch and
Jimmy spent the weekend in Sea -
forth. with the latter's parents.
Miss Phyllis Meidinger, Donna
Ducharme and Barbara Ducharm,e
of the 14th concession, and four
other Bluewater girls, spent the
weekend at "The Pines," Chatham.
Miss Joanne Meidinger spent the
weekend with her two cousins,
Miss Sharon Aubin and Charlene
Sopha, at the home of her grand-
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Meid-
inger.
Surprise Party
A surprise party took place at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. Delmer
Meidinger, on Saturday evening, to
honour Mr. Alex Meidinger, on his
65th birthday.
Present for the occasion were
his two daughters, Mr. and Mrs.
Clarence Sopha, Detroit; Mr. and
Mrs. Orville Aubin, Breslau. Un-
able to attend due to illness in the
family was his other daughter,
Mrs. Emmett Bannon, London.
Friends from Seaforth and dis-
trict also gathered, to spend the
evening in card playing, after
which a delicious lunch was ser-
ved. A decorated basket of pres-
ents was presented to Mr. Meid-
inger by his two grandchildren,
Michael and Patrick Meidinger.
Mrs. Theresa Hartman and sons
were Sunday visitors with Mr. and
Mrs. Greg Fleming, at Crediton,
the occasion being Linda's fourth
birthday.
Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Merner have
returned to their home on the
Goshen Line, south, after spending
a few weeks with their daughter
and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Carl
Burns, in Milverton.
OBITUARY
Mrs. George Gram,
(Our Hensall correspondent)
Mrs. George Gram, a former well
known Hensall resident, passed
away in the Hodgert Nursing Home,
Collingwood, on January 20, in her
96th year. A native of Hay town -
Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Gingerich,
and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Gingerich
and family, visited with Mr. and
Mrs. John Steckley, at Midland,
Michigan, over the weekend. While
there they also attended the dedi-
cation of the new Midland Mennon-
ite Church, on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Farwell and
family were Sunday visitors with
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hartman.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Datars spent
Sunday in London with their
daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and
Mrs. Don Taylor.
Mr. and Mrs. Norman Surerus,
Waterloo, were weekend visitors
at the home of Mrs. Adeline Sur-
erus.

Women's Institute
The next regular meeting of the
Zurich Branch of the Women's In-
stitute will be held on Tuesday
night, February 7, at 8:00 p.m., in
the Town Hall, Zurich. The com-
mittee in charge is Mrs. Newell
Geiger, Mrs. Ed Stelck and Mrs.
Ed Schroeder.

Surviving is one son Percy, Cairo,
Mich.; one daughter, Ada, Adrian,
Mich. Funeral service was held
Monday, January 23, from the Bon-
thron funeral chapel by the Rev,
R. C. Winlaw. Interment was in
Hensall Cemetery.

OBITUARY
Miss E. Murdock

Funeral service for the late Miss
Ethel Murdock were held Thurs-
day, from the Bonth.ron funeral
home, conducted by Rev. Currie
Winlaw. Interment was in Hensall
Union cemetery.
Miss Murdock, who passed away
in Oakville General Hospital, was
a former member of Hensall Uni-
ted Church, and a life member of
the Women's Missionary Society of
the church.
Pallbearers were George Hess,
Ray Lammie, W. 0. Goodwin, El-
gin Rowcliffe, Jack Drysdale and
Same Rannie. Attending the fun-
eral from a distance were: Dr. B.
A. Campbell and Miss Dorothy
Campbell, of Toronto; Mr. and
Mrs. Keith Campbell, Windsor; Mrs.
Dennis Hogarth and Douglas, Oak-
ville; Mrs. Harvey Murdock, St.
Thomas; Miss Amy Lammie, Lon-
don; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Lammie,
Centralia; Mrs. R. Dickins, Exeter.

Rev. Wes Aarum, president of Canadian Youth for Christ.
Wes was choir leader at South Huron Crusade for Christ
at Zurich several years ago, and is no stranger.
