Juveniles Win
The Zurich Lions Juveniles
trounced the Oakridge Ceres juv-
enile team by a 7.0 score last Fri -
clay night, in the opening home
game of the season for the locals.
The Zurich crew scored twice in
the first, added two more in the
second, and then went on the of-
fensive in the third stanza to add
three more.
Earl Wagner was top scorer for
the locals, with two goals. Gerard
Overholt, John Masse, Don John-
son, Bob Johnston, and Wayne
Willert each added singles,
A total of 17 penalties were
handed out in the rough contest,
with Oakridge drawing 10 of the

Gerard Overholt paced the Zur-
ich Lions Juveniles to a 11-3 vic-
tory over the Exeter Juveniles in
a WOAA Juvenile contest played
in the Exeter Arena last Wednes-
day evening, scoring six goals and
assisting in four others.
Wayne Willert also helped the
locals cause, banging in three
goals. The other two goals were
scored by Bob Johnston and Larry
Bedard.

OBITUARY
Mrs. Paterson
Mrs. James A. Paterson, a resi-
dent of the village of Hensall most
of her life, passed away in Clinton
Public Hospital, on Thursday, De-
cember 15, in her 74th year.
When health permitted, she was
active in organizations of Carmel
Presbyterian Church, of which she
was a member, a former member
of the Women's Missionary Society
and of the choir. She was a for-
mer member of Hensall Women's
Institute, being one of the first

Mrs. Paterson was the former
Lilly Dora Ortwein, and had spent
most of her life in Hensall district.
Surviving are her husband; ' one
brother, Alonzo Ortwein, Crosswell,
Mich.; one sister, Mrs. G. M. Drys-
dale, Hensall.
Public funeral service, largely
attended, was held from the Bon-
thron funeral chapel, on Sunday,
December 18, conducted by Rev.
G, C. Vais, of Galt, a former min-
ister of Carmel Church. Burial was
in Hensall Union cemetery, and
pallbearers were Clarence Reid,
George Hess, Walter Spencer, Ho-
ward Scene, Norman Jones and
James A. Foster.
