Mr,. and Mrs. Keith Gingerich
and family, spent the weekend with
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Schwindt and
family, at Baden.
Mr. and Mrs. John Kelly and
son, and Mr. Andrew Corroveau,
of London, were weekend visitors
with their parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Lucien Corriveau.
Mrs. Nancy Schwartzentruber
spent a few days with her sister,
Mrs. Moses Erb, and other re-
latives and friends at Zurich.
Sunday guests with Mr. and Mrs.
Amos Gingerich, were, Mr. and
Mrs. Allan Steckle, Mr. and Mrs.
Peter Steckle and son Darrell, and
Mr. and Mrs. William Steckle and
son Robert.
Mr. and Mrs. Bert Bachert and
family spent Sunday at Milverton.
Mr. and Mrs. Willard Schwart-
zentruber and family, of Milverton,
Mr. and Mrs. Mose Schwartzentru-
ber, of Baden, spent Sunday with
the latter's daughter and son-in-
law, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Ginger-
ich and family,
Mr. and Mrs. Roy Gingerich and
son Melvin, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton
Steckle and daughter Mary Ellen,
were Sunday visitors with Mr. and
Mrs. Ervin Gingerich and family
at Zurich.
Mr, and Mrs. Charles Meyers and
daughter and friends, of London,
and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Brown,
of Zurich, were Sunday visitors
with Mrs. Mary Hey.
Miss Anne Westlake, was visiting
with Mr. and Mrs. Archie Mustard
and boys on Sunday.

KIPPEN NEWS
Mrs. Emerson Kyle, of Kippen,
was hostess to an afternoon and
evening tea, on Thursday, Novem-
ber 17, in honour of her husband's
mother, Mrs. Jean Kyle, of Clinton,
who was celebrating her 85th bir-
thday.
Seventy friends called to extend
congratulations and best wishes.
Mrs. William Hay, of Seaforth,
presided at a lace covered tea ta-
ble, with tall tapers in silver can -
'Zebra, and centered with a two
tier decorated birthday cake.
Granddaughters, Mrs. Harold
Caldwell, and Miss Bonnie Kyle
served, assisted by Mrs. Ron Lit-
tleton, and Mrs. Al Mitchell, of
London, Mrs. William Kyle was
in charge of the guest book.

Guests were present from Lon-
don, Exeter, Hensall, Zurich, Sea -
forth, Clinton, Bayfield, Brucefield
and Varna.
Mrs, Kyle is the former Jean I,
Mitchell, daughter of the late Mr.
and Mrs. Thomas R. Mitchell, of
Westfield, East Wawanosh, where
she was born. The family moved
to Auburn, and later to Clinton,
where she was married in 1900 to
the late Thomas Kyle, of Milton,
North Dakota, formerly of Kippen.
Shortly thereafter, they moved
from Milton to Saskatoon, Sask-
atchewan. They returned east in
1907 to take up farming in the
Kippen area.
Following the death of her hus-
band, in 1927, she moved to Clin-
ton, where she has since resided.
Mrs. Kyle still enjoys the blessing
of all her faculties. Always an
ardent flower lover, she still takes
care of her own home and spac-
ious flower beds.
She is an active member of
Ontario Street United Church, life
member of the WMS, Rebekah Lo-
dge, Women's Institute, and over
60 years a member of the Order
of the Eastern Star.
Mrs. Kyle has two sons, William
and Emmerson, of Kippen, and
one son deceased in infancy, six
grandchildren, and four great-
grandchildren.
Ross Love, Edison McLean,
Lloyd Lovell, John Sinclair and
Hank Binnendyk, assisted in "Sing
Time," at CKNX-TV Sunday after-
noon.
Mrs. Tom Burke, of Wroxeter,
called on Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred
Mellis, Thursday evening.

Church Bazaar
The bazaar at Kippen United
Church last Saturday was largely
attended. The sum of $200.00 was
realized.
Conveners in the various booths
were: fancy work, Mrs, Ross Love;
produce, Mrs. Alex 1vicraurtrte;
baking, Mrs. Lloyd Lovell, Mrs. El -
don, Jarrott, Mrs. Wilmer Jones;
touch and take, Mrs. William Cald-
well; fish pond, Mrs. Ralph Tur-
ner; tea room, Mrs. W. Workman,
Mrs. J. A. Cooper, Mrs, Harold
Jones.
