Obituary
William Mireau
William Mireau passed away, af-
ter a short illness, in Clinton Pub-
lic Hospital, on Monday, November
21, in his 69th year. He was born
in Hay Township, on April 6, 1892,
and was the son of the late Mr. and
Mrs. David Mireau. On January
11, 1931, he married Margaret Re-
gier, and since that time they have
lived in Zurich.
He is survived by his wife; one
son, William D. J., of London; two
brothers, Jerry, of London, and
Fred, of Wingham; three sisters,
Miss Bertine Mireau, of London;
Mrs. William (Eliza) Thompson, of
Wingham, and Mrs, Edward (Jo-
sephine) Bedour, of Hay Town-
ship. There are two grandchild-
ren.
The body rested at the West-
lake funeral home until Wednes-
day morning, when removal was
made to St. Boniface RC Church,
Zurich, where Requiem mass was
held at 10:00 a.m. Interment was
made in the adjoining cemetery.
Rev. C. A, Doyle officiated.
Pallbearers were Ray Hartman,
Gerald Regier, Wilfred Alfred, Jo-
seph and Leo Hoffman.

Mrs. C. Erb
_ Mrs. Christian Erb, the former
,ydia Ann Baechler, passed away
h her 72nd year, on Wednesday,
November 23, at the Queensway
Nursing Home, Hensall, after a
lengthy illness. She was born
December 28, 1888, in Hay town-
ship and was the daughter of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Joel Baechler.
On November 14, 1909, she mar-
ried Christian Erb, of Hay Town-
ship, where they farmed until they
retired to Zurich some years ago.
She was predeceased by her hus-
band last March 27, 1960.
Surviving are three sons, Leon-
ard, Emmerson and Albert, all of
Hay Township; one daughter, Mrs.
Ervin (Alice) Gingerich, of Zurich;
two brothers, Moses, of Exeter, and
Christnian, of Meadville, Pennsyl-
vania; six sisters, Mrs. Barbara
Lockart, of Manson, Iowa; Mrs. Sar-
ah Schmidt, of Saskatchewan; Mrs.
Henry Eichelberger, of Hopedale,
Indiana; Mrs. William Birky, of
Kouts, Indiania, Mrs. Chris Eichel-
berger, of Kouts, Indianna, and
Mrs. Louis Eichelberger, of Heb -

lake funeral home until Saturday,
November 26, when removal will
take place to the Mennonite Chur-
ch, Zurich, where a public service
will be held at 2:00 p.m. Interment
will be made in the Mennonite
cemetery, Goshen Line.
