World Service Day
Held in Zurich
Canada Branch, Women's Soc-
iety of World Service, was held in
the Evangelical United Brethren
Chruch, Zurich, last Wednesday
afternoon and evening, with "Our
Unity In Christ" the theme of the
service.

At the evening service, Mrs. A.
M. Amacher conducted a song
service. Worship period was in
charge of the Misses Elizabeth and
Mary Finlay, and John Bulloch.
An approprate trio, "His Cross
Was His Own" was sung by Mrs.
Beatrice Hess, Zurich; Mrs. George
Hess, Hensall and Mrs, E. Simm-
ons, Exeter. Mrs. Milton Qesch,
Zurich, accompanied at the piano.

RECEIVE TELEPHONE CALL
Mr. and Mrs, Oluf Pedersen
were very pleasantly surprised
last Wednesday morning when they
received a telephone call from
their son, Cpl. Lorie Pedersen, of
Resolute Bay, N.W.T., from Thule,
Greenland. Mrs. Pedersen stated
that the connection was very clear.
Miss Martha Pedersen has re-
turned to Santa • Monica, Cali-
fornia, after spending the summer
with her parents, Mr, and Mrs.
Oluf Pedersen.
Members from Zion Lutheran
Church were guest songsters at
the one hundred and twenty fifth
anniversary afternoon services
at Seebach Hill, on Sunday.
Miss Marion Rader and friend,
of London, spent the week -end
with her parents Mr. and Mrs.
