OBITUARY
Donald Hohner
Funeral service for Donald Hoh-
ner, of Crediton, was held in St.
Peter's Lutheran Church, Zurich,
on Saturday, September 17, with
burial in the Goshen Line Ceme-
tery. Mr. Hohner died suddenly at
the home of his wife's parents,
where he was living, last Wednes-
day, from the reaction to a drug
injection taken to combat a chron-
ic asthmatic condition.
According to the coroner, Dr. J.
C. Goddard, of Hensall, the de-
ceased had been taking adrenal
injections for some time.
Surviving besides his wife, the
former Phyllis Jesney, are his par-
ents. \Ir, and Mrs. Clarence Hoh-
ner, of Exeter, a sister, a1lrs. Keith
'Catherine) Bennewiss, Seaforth,
and four brothers, Paul. Grant,
Lestern and Ernest, all of Exeter.
His grandfather is Mr, Peter Dei -
chert, of Zurich.
The body rested at the Hopper -
Hockey funeral home, Exeter, un-
til noon Saturday, when removal
was made to St. Peter's Church,
Zurich. Rev. W. P. Fischer offi-
ciated at the funeral.

MISSION BAND
Goshen Mission Band held their
regular meeting on Sunday morn-
ing, with Mrs. Clare McBride and
Mrs. John Robinson in charge.
The president, Jacqueline Peck,
presided over the meeting, with
Donna Peck at the piano. The Mis-
sion Band purpose was repeated in
unison to open the meeting.
Gerald Hayter read the scripture
with Mary Margaret Armstrong gi-
ving the prayer. A poem called
"September" was read by Fred
Armstrong. A playlet taken from
a World Friends magazine was
done by Cathy and Debbie McKin-
ley, Judy, Ronnie, and Bob Mc-
Bride.
Diane McKinlley read the min-
utes with Karen McKinley 'nark-
ing the attendance. There were
34 present. The birthday bank was
visited by Steven Keyes.
Mrs. John Robinson read a short
story called "Life Begins at Ten."
The singing of the hymn, "For
The Beauty of the Earth" was sung
and Larry McKinley closed with
prayer.
MEET THURSDAY
The Women's Missionary Society
will meet this week on Thursday
evening, at the parsonage in Var-
na. Mrs. Anson McKinley will be
in charge of the program.
Due to anniversary services at
Varna United Church on Sunday,
September 25, there will be no
church at Goshen.

Hensall Auxiliary
Will Bowl In Zurich
Hensall Legion Ladies' Auxiliary
met last Tuesday evening, in the
Legion Iiall for their opening fall
meeting, with President, Mrs. Gor-
don Munn chairing the meeting.
It was ,announced that a boWl-
ing team had been formed and
will bowl in the women's bowling
league at Zurich. Mrs. Don Havens,
captain of the team, discussed the
project. Team members are Mrs.
Mary Taylor, Mrs. Howard Smale,
Mrs. William Smale, Mrs, Forrist-
or, Mrs. Don Havens and Mrs Har-
old Campbell; subs: Mrs, Munn
larammommonammamomminuawannwaru
and Mrs. Harry Horton.
Mrs. Harold Campbell w s ap-
pointed new sports officer. Cig-
arettes will be forwarded to the
two war veterans at Westminster
Hospital.
Mrs, Munn, Mrs, W. J. C':r:ner-
on, Mrs. Havens, president, secre-
tary and treasurer, will attend the
convention at Windsor front Sep-
tember 15 to 18, with an auxiliar-
ies from Ontario represented.
Reports were presented: sick,
Mrs. L. Noakes; recreation:, Mrs.
H. Smele. Mrs. Bisback won the
mystery prize, and winners of bing-
o were Mrs. Bisback. Mrs. A. Clark,
Mrs. G, Allan, :firs. Al. Taylor, Mrs.
R. Vanstone, Mrs. J. Henderson

Noakes and Mrs. W. Smale.
MR. AND MRS. CLARENCE JOSEPH DUCHARME were mar-
ried on Saturday, September 17, 1960, in St. Peter's Roman Catho-
lic Church, St. Joseph, by Father I. J. Poisson. The bride is Lois
Marjorie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph McLellan, Hensall, and
the groom is the son of Mrs. John Flanagan, Zurich, and the late
Nelson Ducharme. The young couple will reside in Zurich.
