The end of the swntner season is upon us again and the summer harvests are nearly completed; al- so the bean crop, only an odd fi- eld here land there of late plant- ing remains. It was all that could be expected for fanners to save beans in good condition, and they took full 'advantage of it. There are always a few headaches for the farmers throughout the year. Today those who are not equipped with rock well and water system are a little uneasy if the dry spell montinues much longer. There will be a water famine for many, for already it will take hours of down pour before the ground is satur- ated. Already fall is stepping up and then, well, anything can hap- pen to freeze the land for winter. Mr. rand Mrs. Michael Hartman, Trenton, were week end visitors in Zurich and also on the Blue Water Highway with the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Armand De- nomme.
