travelling, and naturally city people
and others took advantage of the
nice weather that greeted them.
The talk about hard times in our
country and our neighbours to the
south is only a sham. No such
thing exists, for there are more
campers along the lake and more
people looking for building lots
along the lake than ever before.
Judging by the heavy traffic on
the highway, one would think it
was the last holiday for everyone.
It is regrettable that regardless
of the warnings issued by the road
authorities and others many fail
to heed, Those who have fallen
prey to accidents leave a wound
to dear ones that will not heal
quickly.
CAMPERS LEAVE
Resorters along the lake and
other points have already packed
up. Some already left last week,
presumably to avoid the heavy
traffic. We are always glad to see
then. arrive in early summer to
spend their vacation among us.
They :are also a source of revenue
to the business people of our sur-
rounding villages. It is well that
those who deal. with them show
their appreciation in some manner,
for as far as we know they are a
well-mannered class of people, wil-
