Mr. and Mrs. Bert Bauche and Mr. and Mrs. Mose Erb were in New York attending the funeral of Mrs. David Zehr, a sister-in-law of Mrs. Erb. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Prance and Miss Kay Hay were Sunday vi- sitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Hay, Mr. John Kipfer, of Elkton, Mi- chigan, was a recent visitor with his brother and sister in this area. Mrs. Myrtle Banko visited her parents and children over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Buhman, Gary, Linda and Carol, of Gary, Indianna, holidayed with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Turkheim and family this past week. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Gingerich and family, Waterloo, were week end visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jake Gingerich. Their son Roger, is spending a week's holiday with his grandparents. Mrs. Eric Smale entertained a number of friends at a shower at her home in honour of Miss Jean Denomme, who is to be married shortly. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Steinback mo- tored to Galt on Sunday where they took their daughter, Norma, who will be spending a two week vacation with her sister and broth- er-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James Ha- ckett, at Kennisis Lake, in the Ha- liburton district. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Brisson and family, of St. Thomas, were visitors in this district over the week end. Mr. Joe Kenney and friend, of Detroit, spent a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Ben McCann, in Zur- ich. Mrs. D. Kane and children, of Kitchener, spent last week with her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Ben McCann. Bill Wagner has returned to his hone in Zurich after spending a week in Guelph with his uncle and aunt. Their children, John Hartman and Jimmy Gelinas, returned home with them after spending a week's holidays with their grand -parents. ZURICH — DRYSDALE The STORE With The STOCK Corriveau--Slivinskl I, St. Peter's Roman Catholic' Church, St. Joseph, was the set- ting for a lovely summer wedding on Saturday, August 6, at 9.30 a.in., when Madeline Corriveau and Ed- ward Slivinski, of London, ex- St Peter's changed marriage vows before Fa- ther I. J. Poisson. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Corriveau, St. Joseph, and the grooms' parents are Mr. and Mrs. Frank Slivinski, London. Bridal music was provided by Miss Yvonne Denomme, St. Joseph, who also sang "Ava Maria" and "On This Day." White mums formed the floral decorations on the altar, Given in marriage by her fa- ther, the bride chose a ballerina - length white lace gown which fea- tured long sleeves, round collar, accented with satin bow at waist with streamers. She carried red ro- ses and white gardenias cascade style with red streamers. Miss Beverly Robson, St. Jo- seph, attended as maid of honor, wearing a street -length gown of emerald green, sleeveless, styled with boat neck collar gown accent- ed with large bow at back. She carried gold carnations cotillion style with gold ribbons. Jean Louis Corriveau, St. Jo- seph, attended the groom, and Is- idore Corriveau, Bob Willis, and Yvonne Denomme, St. Joseph, ush- ered guests. For receiving guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wilf- red Corriveau, the bride's moth- er chose a blue and white floral dress, with accessories in white. The groom's mother wore a deep red ensemble with accessories in yellow. Both wore matching rose corsages. Dinner was served at the Domin- ion Hotel, Zurich. For travelling to Port Huron for their honeymoon, the bride don- ned a blue floral fitted dress with white accessories and pink carna- tion corsage. They will reside at 94 Dakin St, London.
