Mr. and Mrs. Milton Oesch spent
a week's vacation in the Wiarton
district.
1\Ir. and Mrs. Lawrence Dal Bel-
lo, Thedford, were Sunday visit-
ors with friends in Zurich.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Eickmeier
and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Datars
were in Guelph on Monday atten-
ding the funeral of a friend.
Rev. and Mrs. Lloyd Kalbfleisch
were recent visitors with members
of their families in Zurich.
Charles Meyers, London, was a
visitor for a few days at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Brown,
Mr. and Mrs. Keith Rose, Wy-
andotte, Michigan, were visitors
in Zurich for a few days with Mrs.
L. Rose.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Risk and
family, Allen Park, Michigan, were
week end visitors at the home of
11'tr. and Mrs, Earl Yungblut.
it'Ir. Albon Smith, who has been
visiting around these parts for
some time, has left for his home
in Alberta.
Miss Patricia Mittelholtz, Lon-
don, spent the week end with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Mit-
telholtz.
Miss Marjorie Masse, of Wind-
sor, is visiting with her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Alex Masse, after
spending a week in Tennessee.
Mr. and Mrs. Leroy O'Brien en-
joyed a few days holidays on a
motor trip through northern On-
tario.

lidays at a cottage in Port Elgin,
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Gascho have re-
turned home after a week's vaoa-
tion at Magnetawan, in northern
Ontario. They report the fishing
to be very good in that part of
the country.
Mr. and Mrs. Jake Haberer and
George Deichert have, returned
home after enjoying a pleasant
motor trip.
Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Brisson
and family, St. Thomas, were holi-
day visitors with relatives and fri-
ends in Zurich.
Mrs, William Siebert has return-
ed hone after being a patient in
Victoria Hospital, London.
Mr. and Mrs, Gerald Gingerich
and family spent the holiday week
end at their cottage at Chesley
Lake.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Horner ac-
companied by Mr. Herb Mousseau
to northern Ontario for a few days
fishing trip. They report the fish-
ing as being very good.
Mr. and Mrs. P. J. Cunningham
and family, Willowdale, are spen-
ding a holiday at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Chester L. Smith.
Bill Wagner, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Len Wagner, Zurich, has
left for Guelph, where he has ac-
cepted a position with his uncle,
Theodore Wagner.
Mrs. L. Rose and daughter, Stel-
la, have returned home after an
enjoyable trip through the United
States, visiting such places as New
York.
FAMILY PICNIC
The family of the late John
Oesch held a reunion on. Civic
Holiday, at the farm home of Mr.
and Mrs. Edmund Oesch. Games
were enjoyed by those present.
Mr. Albert Carr, Stratford, was
a visitor for a couple of days with
Mr. and Mrs, Charles Carr at the
home of Mrs. Anne Turkheim.
Dr. and Mrs. B. Eickmeier and
son are vacationing this week at
the Westlake cottage along the
lake.

Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Buehler,
Waterloo, are spending a few days
holidays at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Solomon Baechler.
Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Gemming and
family, Rochester, New York, are
visiting for a week with Mr. and
Mrs. Ross Johnston and Mrs. Mel-
vina Johnston.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Turkheim
and Richard holidayed in north-
ern Ontario the past week, stop-
ping at Ahmic Lake, North Bay,
Timmins, Elliot Lake and Mani-
toulin Island, touring the mining
areas thereabouts. Elliot Lake,
the newest city of Canada, is be-
coming a great attraction for
tourists, with its many scenic
lakes, in the surrounding area,
abounding with fighting game fish.
An excellent highway leads to this
northern Ontario city.
Lutheran Ladies
Pick Committees
The August meeting of the La-
dies Aid of St. Peter's Lutheran
Church was held on Tuesday ev-
ening in the church basement,
with the president, Mrs. H. W. Bro-
kenshire in charge. Several hymns
were sung and a psalm was read
responsively. Mrs. Gertrude Datars
acted as pianist.
The secretary, Mrs. William
Lawrence, read the minutes of the
last meeting, and the treasurer,
Mrs. Earl Thiel, gave her report,
as well as reporting on the Vaca-
tion Church School.
Volunteers were accepted for
the month of August for the vis-
iting and flower committee. Mrs.
'Earl Thiel was named for the vi-
siting, and Mrs. Charles Thiel was
named for the flower. A new mem-
ber was also accepted into the
group.

tzentruber and family spent Sun-
day at Tavistock, where they at-
tended a Bender re union.
Miss Linda Rader, of Dashwood,
spent a few days with her grand-
parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Oesch.

Peter Gingerich were Mr. and Mrs.
Hilbert Musselman, of Kitchener,
Mr. and Mrs. Keith Gingerich and
family, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth
Gingerich and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Schwindt
and family, of Baden, spent Sun-
day with Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Ging-
erich and family.

Regier Reunion
A family reunion was held over
the week end at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Lawrence Regier, on the
Town Line, Present for the occa-
sion were their 11 children, four
sons-in-law, three daughters-in-
law, and 28 grandchildren.
Following a delicious dinner
pictures of the group were taken.

Large Crowd At
Hensall TB Clinic
(By our Hensall Correspondent)
A total of 787 Hensall and dis-
trict persons took advantage of a
tuberculosis clinic in the village
last Thursday, conducted by the
Huron County T.B. Association.
Miss J. Brydie and Miss A, Kier-
nan, of the T.B. division of the
Ontario Department of Health, To-
ronto, were in charge of the clinic.
The Hensall Kinsmen provided
supervisors.
Volunteer women from Hensall
assisted in the afternoon, and
members of the Kinette club help-
ed in the evening. The clinic was
held at the Community Centre.
Dashwood Accident
An accident on No. 83 Highway,
11/4 miles west of Dashwood, on
Sunday evening, caused estimated
damages of $900 and sent one per-
son to the hospital,
In South Huron Hospital, Exe-
ter, is George Schlunt, RR 2,
Dashwood, suffering a fractured
left leg, chest injuries, and mul-
tiple cuts to his face.
Apparently Sehlunt was making
a left-hand turn in front of a car
driven by Karl Woerns, of Strat-
ford, who was travelling east.
Harvey's ambulance, of Exeter, re-
moved the injured man to the hos-
pital,
OPP Constable Hank Reid, of
the Exeter detachment, investigat-
ed the accident.
