John M. Richardson
John !VI. Richardson, Hensall,
passed away in London, on Tues-
day, June 7, in his 86th year. Mr.
Richardson formerly farmed in
Hay Township, before retiring to
Hensall some time ago.
Surviving besides his wife, the
former Elizabeth Reichert, are two
sons, Ross, Zurich; Wesley, Hen-
sall; four daughters, Mrs. Alfred
(Margery) Smith, London; Mrs.
Ruth Chuter, Vancouver; Mrs.
Lloyd (Vera) O'Brien, Zurich; Mrs.
F. (Annie) Ashman, Tillsonburg.
There is also one brother, Lynn,
Vancouver; and two sisters, Mrs.
Annie Gray, Vancouver; and Mrs.
Ida Martin, London.
The body is resting at the Bon-
thron funeral chapel, Hensall,
where a public service will be
held on Thursday, June 9, at 2
p.m., with burial in the Hensall
Union Cemetery. Rev. C. Winlaw
will officiate.

LADIES' AID
The regular meeting of the Zi-
on Lutheran Ladies' Aid was held
on Wednesday, June 1, with group
one and Mrs. Lorne Genttner as
convener, in charge.
Pastor, K. L. Zorn, had for his
topics, "The explanation for the
morning service." Mrs. Lorne Be-
cker gave a reading.
The president, Mrs. blilfred
Merner, presided for the business.
Group two are in charge of the
supper for the congregational pic-
nic. Two hostess carts are to be
bought for the kitchen, as well as
a hot plate and congoleum for the
floor.
Closing devotions were conduct-
ed with Pastor Zorn in charge.
Mtss Anna Messner, of Cali-
fornia, is vacationing with her
parents, Mr, and Mrs. Fred Mess-
ner,
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Miller, Ja-
net and Robert, accompanied by
Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Nadiger and He-
len, spent Sunday at Kitchener.
The Nadigers spent the day with
Rev. and Mrs. T. Luft, while the
Millers attended. Confirmation ser-
vices at St. Paul's Lutheran
Church, where their niece, Earle
Stumpf, received the rite of con-
firmation. They spent the day with
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Stumpf and fa-
mily.
Mr. and Mrs. Glen Brown, of
Kitchener, visited with Mr. Wil-
liam Wein on Sunday.
Mr. Herb Geiser, of Dearborn,
Michigan, visited with his brother,
Chester, in Dashwood.

at Grand Bend. All mothers and
pre-school age children are invit-
ed to attend.
Mr. L. H. Rader attended con-
firmation services in the Luth-
eran Church, Zurich, and spent
Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Leon-
ard Prang and family,
Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Wein and
Billie spent the week end with the
latter's sister and family, Mr. and
Mrs, Jim. Lovie, in Ottawa.

Merner and family, and Mrs. Sus-
an Merner, attended the confirma-
tion services in Zurich Lutheran
Church on Sunday, when Larry
1VTcrner was confirmed. They spent
the clay• with Mr. and Mrs. Arnold
Merner.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Reschke
and friend, of Detroit, spent the
week end with Mr. and Mrs. Ad-
dison Tiernan and also were in
Zurich on Sunday.
