Toronto Lady Gives Gift to McTaggart Cemetery Board (By our Hensall correspondent) McTaggart's Cemetery Board moved forward towards perman- ent maintenance and beautification of their cemetery at a meeting held -at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Soldan, Zurich, on Mon- day, May 23. For a century and a half this cemetery has served as a burial place for the townships of Hibbert, Usborne and Tucker - smith, it has the enviable quality of being a dry cemetery. Since 1920 the cemetery has been main- tained and supported by having annual bees, and small donations given by those who are unable to attend such bees. A great amount of labour, which cannot be assest in dollars and cents, went into these bees. There was much gra- ding, levelling and filling to be done in order to get the desired level and slope. As one drives along the beau- tiful road known as the north east boundary, three miles east of Hensall, you are attracted by the sight and by the fact that it has become a very attractive burial place. This spring, some 250 Spruce trees were planted along PLA W TO ATTE South Huron Agricultural Society TF:ILIG SPRING FAIR STARTS AT 6 P.M. At Hensall Park FRLJUNE1O School Parade At 7 P.M. McAree, Toronto, who started the drive with $1,000 in memory of her par- ents, Mrs. and Mrs. Andrew E. Stewart, former citizens of Us - borne. A mailing list of all in- terested in this cemetery is kept. A letter is sent out annually, in- forming of the date of the "bee," On the cemetery board are: Lloyd McLean, and William Brit- nell, Cromarty; J. M. Glenn, Hen- sall; Mrs. J. M.
