The week end seminar is a por- tion of the intensive training course that members of the organi- zation undergo. Each member at- tends from four to six hours of bible meetings per week on the congregation level, two circuit as- semblies each year and one dis- trict convention annually. Two of this year's many assemblies will be held in Briggs Stadium, De- troit, and at the C.N.E. Stadium, Toronto, where attendances will probably range from 20,000 to 40,000. The Witnesses contain no cler- gy -laity classes but rather stress the necessity of each member be- coming a practicing field minister and accepting other congregation duties. All activities are performed voluntarily and without remunera- tion. Collection plates are never passed in the congregations.
