der, motored to London on Sun-
day evening, visiting with Mr. and
Mrs. Wendell Gamble and family
and Mrs. L. H. Rader.

The Spring Rally of the Luth-
eran Women's Missionary League
was held at Monkton, on Thurs-
day evening, May 5. A number of
ladies from Zion Lutheran Church
travelled by bus to attend it.

The regular meeting of Dash-
wood Women's Institute was held
Tuesday, May 3, with the Home
Economics committee in charge
and Mrs. Ervin Rader acting con-
vener in the absence of Mrs. Mer-
vyn Tiernan. "My most amusing
cooking experience," proved an in-
teresting roll call.
Mrs. Harold Kellerman commen-
ted on the motto, "Don't let the
world around you squeeze you in-
to its own mould." Mrs. Rudolph
Miller favoured with a solo.
Mrs. William Siebert, Zurich,
was the guest speaker, and spoke
on "Kitchen short cuts." She had
on hand many gadgets to elimin-
ate tiresome chores. Hints were
given to aid in washing, ironing,
cooking and sewing. Mrs. Sid Ba-
ker conducted a jumbled health
contest,
Mrs. Leonard Schenk, president,
presided for the business. Women's
Institute pins were distributed.

Bean Club Formed
At Hensall Meeting

The South Huron 4-H White
Bean Club held its organizational
meeting in the Hensall Town Hall,
on Wednesday, May 4. The 1960
executive are --- president, Gerry
Chapman, RR 1, Exeter; vice-pres-
ident„ Robert Fatheringham, RR
3, ,Seaforth; secretary -treasurer,
June McLachlan, RR 3, Kippen;
press reporter, William. Charters,
RR 3, Kippen. Club leaders are Ro-
bert P. Allen and Robert Broad -
foot, both of Brucefield,
D. G. Grieves, assistant agricul-
tural representative for Huron
County, handed out material to
club members on this year's pro-
jects, and said a quantity of di-
sease-free seed from Idaho has
been ordered and will be distribu-
ted to members at cost.
The club is open to farm boys
and ginls who 12 years of age on
May 1, this year, and under 21 at
November). Regular meeting date
will be the last Wednesday of
each month.

The bride wore a floor -length
gown styled with scalloped neck-
1,nei short sleeves and chapel train
of silk organza over net and taf-
feta. The front panel and bodice
were embroidered with imported
lace sprinkled with seed pearls
and rhinestones, A crown. of lil-
lies of the valley held her fing-
ertip veil embroidered with lace
and she carried white calla 111 -
lies and lily of the valley.

maid of honor, wore a street -length
dress of light blue brocaded silk.

junior bridesmaid, Miss Karen Mc-
Kinley, Zurich, were gowned iden-
