Speaks To Hensall
Church Groups

Miss Gretta Gauld, medical mis-
sionary at Formosa, home on fur-
lough, addressed over 200 mem-
bers of the Women's Missionary
Society and their special guests
at their annual birthday party
held in the Hensall United Church
auditorium. last Friday evening.
Miss Gauld gave an interesting ad-
dress, basing her thoughts on Mis-
sion and urged listeners to keep
mission money coming in as it is
greatly needed. She concluded her
talk by stating "That if we loved
God well enough wb would live
for his people."

The speaker was introduced by
Mrs. George Hess, and thanked by
Mrs. George Armstrong. Presi-
dent, Mrs. Earl T. Rowe, was in
the chair and welcomed the mem-
bers and special guests; the ladies
of Carmel and St. Paul s Anglican
Churches, Hensall; St. .Andrews
United, Kippen; Chiselhurst, and
Evening Auxiliary of the United
Church.
Mrs. Currie Winlaw presented
the devotional, and Mrs. T. 0.
Coates offered prayer.
Decorating committees were
Mrs. R. J. Paterson and Mrs. R.
1VI, Peck and the tea table, cen-
tering the birthday cake, was flan-
ked with flowers and candeleabra,
Programa convener was Mrs. Fred
Beer; reception, Mrs. N. E. Cook,
Miss M. Ellis; lunch, Mrs. Laird
Mickle, Mrs. Stanley Mitchell,
Mrs. T. J. Sherritt, Mrs. Elgin
Rowoliffe; ushers, Mrs. W. Dining,
and Mrs, Grace Harpole.

Winner of "Share The Wealth"
at the Hensall Legion Bingo last
Saturday was Mrs. Murray Tyn-
dall, Brucefield. Five dollar door
prize winner was Albert Bedard
of Zurich. Other winners were:

ie Fischer, Goderich; Bill Noakes;
Paul Boa (2); Robert Upshall; Reg
Dick; David Noakes.
Ernie Fischer, mayor of God-

The Girl Guides opened their
meeting last Thursday by

was there to enroll Mrs. Rose as
captain of the company.
They then went to their patrol
