D.D.P. Mrs. Har- old Parker presided, assisted by D.D. secretary, Mrs. William Cald- well. Reports of the year's work were given by the various lodges. Mrs. Parker expressed sincere thanks to the representatives for their interesting reports. D.D. sec- retary, Mrs. Caldwell, gave the re- port of the project fors the Home in Barrie. D.D,P., Mrs. Parker, gave an interesting report of her year's work throughout the dis- trict and announced the appoint- ment of Mrs. Lillian Grummett, Seaforth, as D.D.P. for the coming year. Mrs. Grummett spoke congratu- lating D.D.P., Mrs. Parker, on her successful year. Following the bu- siness, Mrs. Archie MacGregor, P.N.G., presided over the pro- gram as follows; Mrs. Margaret Fletcher, Exeter, sang a solo, "When the world's garden blooms again," accompanied by Mrs. Wil- lert at the piano; Mrs. Mary Sut- ter, Clinton, directed a contest, which was won by Mrs. Kirkland's group; Mrs. Hillbrecht, Seaforth, gave two honorous readings, "Jes- sie's porridge," and "When father laid the carpet on the stairs;" Mrs. Fritzley, Goderich, directed a con- test, "kick the bag of beans," in which the winner was Mrs. Arch- ie MacGregor. A cash donation was voted to the Cancer Fund. The club will spon- sor a Beauty Queen competition for the Hensall Fair Board.
