ON ALL YOUR LUMBER AND BUILDER'S SUPPLIES eiton SU BUiLDERS COMING EVENTS REMEMBER — Huron County World Refugee Blitz, May 16 to 21, 16, 7, 8, b 0 Red Cross Charter For Zurich Area Is Given Up At a poorly -attended meeting in the Town Hall on Friday, April 27, the question of discontinuing the Zurich and district Branch of the Red Cross was discussed. Since there has been no activity and little interest in the work in this area for several years, it was felt that supplies and funds on hand, ($280), were serving no use- ful purpose. It was reported that Mr. John Anderson, of the Canadian Red Cross Society, had suggested that the Branch be closed, and that any remaining funds be transferred to the London Area Branch, which would henceforth serve the needs arising in this area. The meeting agreed that the Charter should be surrendered, and that funds remaining after the payment of outstanding ac- counts be sent to the London Ar- ea Branch. A number of ladies volunteered for the laundering, or dry-clean- ing, of the supplies, so that these may also be disposed of to the satisfaction of the Society. It is requested that all out- standing accounts against the Branch be presented to the Trea- surer, Mrs. Whitney Brokenshire, prior to May 15. 0 Huron County 'arming Report (By D. H. MILES, Agricultural Representative For Huron) A fair amount of seeding has ta- ken place within the County. It is reported that some canning peas, sugar beets and turnips have been sown. Some of the cattle have mo- ved to the pasture although grass is not growing very quickly. Sugar beet contracting is down about 40 per cent from last year's acreage. Plantings are in general 10 days to two weeks behind the 1959 season. 10 BIG SPRING VALUE DAYS HERE ARE A FEW OF OUR SPECIALS !
