FRED DUCHARME, Corresnondentl Francis Larouche, who is in re- sidence with his daughter andson- in-law, was a Thursday last visi- tor with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Du- eharme. Mr. Larouche is a native of Lower Canada and has a clear memory of his boyhood days and the hardships the family went through raising and providing for a large family when clearing their land for cultivation. The gentle- man in question, who is in his 84th year has many interesting stories to tell of his native land. Mr. and Mrs. Don Dietrich, Lon- don, were visitors last Sunday with the latter's parents. Mrs. James Flood, Windsor, is spending a few days at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Bedard in this neighbourhood. Mr. and Mrs. Mourley Fournier and children, London, spent the week end with the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Corriveau, of this highway. Mrs. ]Marceline Corriveau and her son Gordon, of the 14th were Sunday afternoon visitors with Mr. and Mrs. F. Dueharme, of the Bluewater Highway. Mr. and Mrs. Morris Denomme, Dashwood, were Sunday last visi- tors on the Bluewater Highway. Already this first clay of spring there were campers along the lake in their sum ner cottages, perhaps inspecting their water systems and the damage the fore part of March could have done to their work, or perhaps the nice day could have attracted them to visit their cot- tage. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Mernovidge, Detroit, were week end visitors with the Jeffrey family , en the Bluewater Highway. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Cantina St. Joseph, left on Monday for Wind- sor, Detroit, and Flint where they will visit relatives for a few weeks before returning to their home in St. Joseph. The card party held in the Par- ish Hall last Sunday evening was fairly well attended with prizes being awarded to the winners. -- EEE SPECIALS Lucky Dollar Instant Coffee 69c Dill Pickles, 24 oz. jar 29c Aylmer Catsup 11 oz. HAVE YOU RENEWED YOUR SUBSCRIPTION WHY You Should Vote YES —BECAUSE Zurich Citizens should have the same rights as those in other parts of Ontario. — BECAUSE repeal of the C.T.A. made it necessary to provide a supervised hotel licence in Zurich to serve the village and township. —BECAUSE it is a well-known fact that farmers shop and tourists stay where they can get these social advantages. — BECAUSE a good licenced hotel is a community centre where local residents can meet their friends in pleasant surroundings. IT JUST MAKES GOOD SENSE TO VOTE YES!
