IN MEMORIAM
LOCKIE — In loving memory of
Allan George Leckie, who pas-
sed away one year ago, on March
11, 1959.
Friends may think we have for-
gotten,
Because they see us laugh. and
smile,
But they little know the sorrow
That our hearts hide all the
while.
We moron for him in silence,
No eyes can see us weep,
But many a silent tear is shed,
While others are asleep.
You are not forgotten,
Nor ever will you be,
As long as .life and memory last,
We will remember thee.
Ever remembered by his wife,
Alice, parents, and children,
Natalie and Deborah.

Parr Line Farm
Forum
Parr Line Farm Forum met at
the home of Mrs. A. Reichert, and
the topic for discussion was
"Safety On Canada's Farms."
Question 1: What can be done
by your Forum and community to
cut down the accident rate? What
kind of program would you recom-
mend to reach everyone?
Answer: Members suggested
that a local safety meeting could
be held with speakers or demon-
strations on faun safety. Accident
prevention posters should be dis-
played at each farm as they are
in industry. Since many accidents
happen after four o'clock, a short
work break at that time, and per-
haps a snack would relieve fa-
tigue.
Question 2: What organized ac-
tion should be taken provincially
and nationally to reduce farm ac-
cidents? Would a National Farm
Safety Council be of help?
Answer: 4 National Farm Safe-
ty Council could keep watch over
machinery companies to be sure
that moving parts are properly
guarded. More sharp corners on
machines should be rounded. A
Farm safety specialist could be ap-
pointed for certain areas to give
personal service to farm people.
Euchre winners were: ladies:
Mrs. Keith Love, Mrs. Howard Ad-
kins; men: Glen Weido, Michael
Soldan.
The next meeting wil be held
at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ross
Love.
