I suppose you have read all about the galllant'Canadians and +Vimy Ridge. Believe me I would rather be reading about it in •Canada (than taking part in it. I •saw so many fellows killed and wounded during the advance that I am. sick and tired of it all and so is everybody else. We all thought that this would be the begin(nin(g of the end, but it is plainly seen now that the war will never end through fight- *ing on the battlefield. I was over 5 at the 18th Battalion wagon lin- es to -day • and saw same fellows who I knew. The 29th Battery was islplii up to ‘make 4 gun bat- teries, in ,fact everything is chan- ged. So ,nsany of the old fellows have been killed or wounded and their places arae filled with new fellows. 1 get the London paper regularity, had four to-night.Saw where Jake Kellerman knocked a lady down in London, also that Harry (Windsor from Exeter was killed, Roy Scot, a friend 'of mine from London, who is in this battery and I. went over to the 20th Battalion to see an officer Roy used to work With, but after we got their we were told he was, killed the night before (coming back from the trenches.
