- Mrs Workman has been in failing
health for some time ' and the end
was not unexpected. - The funeral
was held on Tuesday, the services
being conducted by Rev Mr Richard-
son of Kippen. '-She leaves a husband
and a large family, of sons and daught-
ers to mourn the loss of a kind and
Ioving wife and mother.
Mr. Archibald Galbraith, an ago,
and respected resident of Stanle'
passed away on Saturday, June 8t•d
at the home of his nephew, 'Mr. Win.
Stinson, Bauble Line. _ He liyed most
of his life on the Bayfield Road- and:

years ago, sold his farm and -retired

DROWNING ACCIDENT
A deep gloom was cast over our
neighborhood on Friday last when it
was learned. that PilargaretClark, eldest
daughter of Mr Launcelot Clark of
Stanley had losther life by drowning.
On the evening of June 1st Miss
Clark, whb'has been living at Berlin,
along with a numb :• of other girls
took a'pleasnre trip to Raspier and
there engaged a man to take them out
On the raver in a motor boat. While
running elate to the bank the boat
'struck a -snag and capsized. All the
occupants were thrown .out and al
but''Mies dark' were remised. ' the
current naught her, and swept her
away before aid could reach her, The
body was found about noon on Friday
and was brought to'the borne -of her
parents in Stanley.. The funeral
was slheldto Bayfield Cpmetery
on Sunday was very largely attended.
Mies Clark was 27 years -ef age and
was a bright promising,young woman,
respected;; and beloved by all 'Who ; en-
joyed her :aeq:uaintance, Tlrelyrelpatihy
of the conanaunity is extended. tot; the
bereaved family in their hour .of
sadness.

The management of the Western
Fair, London's great Exhibition is very,
busy preparing for name. Within thei
next few days, thousands of prize lists,:
hangers and • maps will be mailed
throughout the Country. The very,
generous prize list of 1915 has been
,added to •yery materially- this year.
Several new sections have been added
in the Horse and Cattle Department
and a new class entirely for Duroc
Jersey Swine,' A new class has been
given for a Wool exhibit and also one
for an exhibit of -eggs: The. manage-

Rev. Ashlyn Aitken Trumper,. re-
cantly appointed by the Bishop Of
Huron to the charge of the Trivitt Me-
morial Church at Exeter, was inducted
as rector by Von. Archdeacon Rich-
ardson on Ascension Day. A large
and interested congregation, including
the leading members of the church,
was present at the induction of the.
new rector.

given July 1st. The Exeter business
will be entirely separate, from Mr.
Medd's business at Winchelsea but
will be carried on after the same man-
ner as the Winchelsea business. We
have not learned what Mr. Scott
intendsdoing, but we hope that
Exeter will not lose such a worthy
citizen.
