The Button's 161st Battalion has
mobilizers at Clinton' a.icl will train
for two week prior to le•iving for the
rnoblization camp at Camp Borden,
It isexpectedthat the "Hurons"
the 161st, nil]. leach the full
strength of a bat't:ulion before they
leave for the n'roblization camp.
Up to last Saturday 134 recruits
were added since the 1st of May. The
following list shows the number that
have enlisted at the various recruiting
centres during the special campaign:
Clinton 31; \Vingham 20; Goderich 14
Seafdrth 9; 13russels 15; Wroxeter 14,
Hensel' 12, Exeter 10, Blyth 9.
Do not fail to attend the patriotic
meeting in the Town Ball, Zurich,
this Friday evening.
The 161st Military Band now has
40 members and is rendering fine
service at the recruiting meefut gs

Military Day at Clinton on Wed-
nasdtay was a huge success. Thou-
sands of spectators attended the per-
formance at the fair grounds in the
aftern on and evening. The boys of
the 161st gave a splendid exhibition
of dill:;, Bayonet exercises, rifle drill
and other •interesting exents. The
line military bend gave a concert in
