A big haul of herring was made by
the fishermen of the Sauble line last
Sa ualay. One thousand dozen were

Denomme passed away on Friday last
and Alexander Mousseau passed• away

reference to a writ being issued by W
11 Bender against J Hey Jr. \Ve did
not do Dir Hey justice in not stating
some of the circumstances connected
with the case. Some time ago while
Mr Bender was in Goderich, he was
so placed. that he had to furnish hail.

to secure a release of his liability.

The Hay council board met in the
Town Hall on Saturday afternoon,
All were present.
By -Law No 3, 1916; Dashwood
Police Village Hydro Electric Power
money by law, was finally passed
A resolution asking the Minister of
Militia to establish a Mobilization
Camp at Goderich for the training of
four or more battalions for Overseas
service, was passed.
F W Fa.nrcomb was re appointed
engineer for the township and Proud -
foot, Killoran & Cooke were appointed
solicitors for the township for 1916.
Grants of $5 were made to each of
the following:—The National Sanitor-
iimn for consumptives; Hensel]. Spring
kbow ,and the Zurich Agi cultural
,Society.
