Mr L Kaibfieisch, who had been reeve for four years, was defeated by Mr H. }I Neeb, by a ui,ijority of 48. Mr John Only one new man, however, will sit at the board, •namely, Laporte, of Drysdale, who headed the vote for councillors, receiving 412 votes. The men elected are all able nuglrancl should make a useful and capable council.
