It is expected that Crediton wi soon having hydro -electric power. isnot time that Znrich move in th matter' and see what steps are neces ary to have estimates, etc., draw up. There is no doubt that hydi will in time supply electricity fo power and lights through the whole o Ontario, and the towns and communi ties who make an effort are he firs to secure it. If Crediton gets it, why not have the line continued on to Dashweod, thence to Zurich and . me to Haman, making a circuit of "the born" as it is called. One of the most clifflcult tasks in a. newspaper office is in getting the facts relative to births, mar.einges, deaths, accidents and other, happenings in the coimmnnity. Many people take it for granted that tvhen a person dies the editor is familiar with every detail of the life of the deceased and his activiti- es, when as a fact be sometimes knows 1 absolutely nothing about him, but he bas to get his information from other sources, same as other persons wnul.1 have to de. It is the same with mar- riages or other more or less important happenings in the community. In almost every case the editor bas to dig up the particulars or satisfy himself and the readers with a meagre and in- acettrate account. The an patrons hardly overestimate how aintch the appreciates any efforts they make in furnishing him the facts for news items.
