CAMP MTETING
The annual camp meeting of
the Church of God will ..be held
in London this year . on June 2iid
to June 11th inclusive, The camp
grounds are located at Kingston
Heights, West London, an ideal
location and site for the purpose
There has just been ,completed
on the grounds, a spacious and
attractive Tabernacle,. which will
seat nearly 1000• people: The plan
of the Tabernacle was designed by
an American architect and though
not elaborate, its - •'graceful tines
and pleasing proportions make it
a thingof beautei•
Every effort is being put
.forth to make' this, meeting a grand
success. Able ministerial ' help has
beensecured btoh from thiis coun-
try and from the United States
and the music nad singing will be
made'.•: a special' feature. '
The grand truths of the Bible
which can -never' grow old, will be
presented intheir simplicity and
their .fullness. Much prayer has
been offered for the meeting and a
gracious outpouring of God's Holy.
Spirit is expected',
The distance from Zurich is not
great, why not motor down on
either` or both of the ,Sundays dur-
ing which the meetings' are in
progress. A hearty invitation is
extended to the publiic to attend
this meeting.
GRAND BEND
It becomes our sad duty to re-
cord the death of Mr. Aquila
Gratton at the age of 64 years,.
who died on Wednesday May lithe
Mr. Gratton has been in poor he-
alth for years, hurt trouble be-
ing the cause. For 'six weeks he
has been confined tie the .house,,
most of_.the time. Deceased was
thrice married, his last wife sur-
viving him, also one daughter;Mrs
Maurice Brenner of Grand ]lend,
and two sone Curtis north of here,
and Noah on the homestead. He
also leaves one brother and three
sisters. IMr. Gratton was a kind
husband and• neighbor and was re-
spected and estegened by alarge
circle of friends. He \Vas a life-
long and valued member of . the
Presbyterian Church. The funer-
al took 'p'lace on Friday and was
largely attended.
COUNTY NEWS.
The Deanery meeting of. the
County of Huron will be held in -
Brussels on June 8th.
A well attended meeting of the
North Huron Liberal Assoc: was
held in Wingharn on Tuesdayof
last week, in the -town hall, with
W, H. Robertson, Goderich in the
chair.

Varna, announce the engorgement

to Mr. Norman Clarence East, yo-
ungest son of Mi'E and Mrs. Ed
East, of I ullett, the wedding to
take place the early part of June,
Negotations are on for the pur-
pose of uniting Cavan Presbyter-
ian and Math St. Methodist chur-
ches in Exeter. The church and
parsonage of the Main St. emigre
egation would be used and the
congregations unite to pay i*un-
ping expenses.
The annual convention of 'the
Huron County Trustees and Rate,
payers' Assoc. was held' last Tues-
day afternoon a in the Town Hall,
,Clinton, with an attendance of
about 150 delegates: President
Rei*, A. Laing, of Fordwich, pre-
sided, and the central organizat-
ion was represented by the -field
secretary, Mr. Segsworth, Miss
Skilling, of Toronto, gave an ad-
dress on the value of mus.ie in the
school. Resolutions were 'paved
dealing with rural school problems
and these are to be sent b forward
to the. -Education Department at
Toronto. The County Council are
to be ahlted to finance the ' orgati-
