tracted for 150 acres for the cora-

A petition to the government
asking that the north pier be re-
paired, has been largely signed by
the ratepayers of Baytield,
ton and Seaforth, and at a public
meeting last Monday evening it
was decided to send a delegation
to see Mr. Thomas McMillan, Ire;
presenting the petition to the
Minister of Public Works, and
it was suggested that he be ac-
companied to Ottawa by delegates
from Bayfield.

The regular meeting of the Co-
uncil of the Township of Hay was
held in the Ton gall, Zurich, on
S t:urday. April 1st. All the mem-
bers were present. The minutes

Road Superintendent of the Town,

Hydro Power Commission was read
in which the request was made
that the Council enter into an.
agreement with the Commission
for the purpose of, supplying pow
er to the residents of the Township
of Stephen.
That By-law No. 291, being a

Hydro Power Comm. of the Prov-
ince of Ontario for the purpose of
supplying power to resdenits of
