rived here 'last, week and will take
charge nf the accountant depart-
ment of the local Molsnso Bank
staff. This position was former-
ly. held by Mrr. Fred Aikenhead,
who has been compelled to dis-
continue, owing to ill -health.
Dr. and Mrs. P. J. O'Dwyer of
the village on Friday attendedthe
funeral of the Doctor's brother,
the lite Raymond. O'Dwyer, who
died at Calgary, Alta,, on Novem-
ber 3rd, and was buried near
Centralia on Friday Nov. 11th.
Judge .Lewis of Godericb pre-
sided at the. Division Court on
Thursday, only one case was up,
Clarke vs Challett, and was set-
tled without the Judge giving his
decision. A number of judgem-
ent cies were also dealt with.
Mr.. W. H. Pfile, the local shoe
merchant, has recently purchased
the building lot corner known as
the old Bender shoe store. And
we are looking forward for Mr.
Pfile to improve the appearance
of this vacant lot by erecting , a
fine business block.
A communication from Mr. R.
J. Kalbfleisch, a former member
of the Maisons Bank staff, Zurich,
advised as that he has been trans-
ferred from Forest, where he had
been ,for some time, to Windsor,
as assistant accountant, of the
Molsons Bank staff there,
LATE PETER .N. DENOMY
A very unexpected death oc-
cured on . the Sauble inLe, Hay, on
Friday, Novem ber 5th, in the
pasaing of Peter N. Denormy at
the age of 57 years, 6 months and
1 day. Deceased had been in
his usual -good health until two
days previous to his death, when
a severe. ,Attack of pneumonia set
in, and with the best of medical
attention and musing, he sucum-
bed on Friday. morning. Deneas-
etl was of a nice quiet, lovable,
friendly and honest dismal:Oa and
will be greatly missed by his usr-
rounding friends, He was born
and lived all his life on the Seale
Line, Haya hisr widow, and a num-
her of relatives survive to mourn
his loss. The remains were laid.
to rest in the R. C. cemetery,Dry-
sdale on Monday, officiated by
