N. cMillar was finally decided
on and will contest the South Hur
on riding as the Liberal candid-
ate in the corning Federal election
this fall. 1Y Ir. McMillian is well-
known throughout the riding, has, -
contested against Mr. .J J. Merner
M. P.,, in the last election, a
capable and well read man. The
principal speakers were 1Tr. Dun-
e -in Ross of Strathroy and the
editor of the London Advertiser.
LATE MRS. SCHADE
There passed' away at the hone
of her son, Mr. Wm. Schade, Sau-
ble Line, Hay, on Monday even-
ing, Sept. 12th, Elizabeth Lein,
relict of the late John 'Schade,age
78 years and 6 months. Deceas-
ed had been in poor health for a
number of ;years, and was quite
feeble the last while. ^'She was
born : in Germany and came to
Canada as a girl, lived on the
S'mble Line for a long time, her
husband having pre-decea.sed her
35 years ago. Also two sons. She
is survived by fo ,r. children; Mes-
srs. Wm. and Philip, 'Schade of the
Szuble; Henry Sehade and Mrs.
Conrad Truernner of the 14th con.
all in Hay Township. [Two sist-•
=ra also survive, Mrs. S'ippel of
Milverton and Mrs. Altes of Calif-
ornia, The remains were laid to
rest in the Bronson Line cemetery
or, Wednesday afternoon, services
beim conducted in the Eva.ngel-
leal church 14th con.
The Brussels Post .celebrated a
holiday last week.
