the •late Samuel Beaver, near Ex-
eter ori Sunday afternoon.
Mr. Wm, Roerig left on Monday
morning for Milverton, where he
has accepted. a position as black-
smith,,
Mr.: and Mrs. David Pfaff, of
Sarnia, were the guests of the for-
pier's sister, Mrs. S. Hardy, and
also visited at Zurich. --Exeter Ti-

Mr. Philip Sipple, of Pigeon,
Mich., called on friends here a few
days this week. Phil. says he
is feeling fine, and he shure looks

Rev. F. B. Meyer sustained
quite a loss last week in losing his
well -],,gown Holstein cow, by chole-
ing from an apple. The loss is
a great one to Mr. Meyer, as this
was known to be the greatestmilk
eroducer in this community.
STANLEY TOWNSHIP.
Mr. Sam Rohner held an auc-
tion sale of farm stock and impl-
ements last week, He has had
the farm of Mr, J. S. Delgaty lea-
sed for some years past, and is
now quitting the farm and mor-
ing to Seaforth. Mr. Herb. Smith
has leased the farm from Mr. Del-
atey for a term cif years and will
get immediate possession.
Jas, and Geo. Reid of Parr Line
have disposed of their 150 acre
farm on con, 7, to Mr. Cecil Millar
of Clinton. Mr. Millar does not
get possession till the fall.
Mrs. J. T. Keys who has been
visiting her daughter, Mrs. Austin
Sturdy of Goderich Tp. .has ret-
urned hone.
Mrs. Jas. Stephenson spent the
past week with friends in Bayfield
