opened the Amlassador, the new
five million dollar hotel, they
can seat twelve thousand guests
at once in their dining room. The
traffic is very heavy on the main
streets. I had the pleasure of
meeting Mr." and Mrs. Charley Ka-
ercher from, N. Dakota, also Mr.
and Mrs. P. Koehler in Posadena
recently. We have taken sorue
of the interesting outings, one
-can be on the go every day, there
is a life time of sights and wond-
ders to be seen, the Ostrich .farm

The Zurich Branch of the Wom-
ens' Institute held their Jnauary
meeting fat the home of Mrs. J.
Routledge last. Wednesday. The
attendance was good and a very
interesting program was given,.
consisting of a paper by Mrs. J.
Gascho; a demonstration on
"Womens' Health and Movements
by Mrs. F. B. Meyer; an instruem-
ental solo by Mrs. A. Geiger: a
vocal dui:t by Misses V. Siebert
and M. E. Routledge, This was
followed by a much appreciated
lunch being served.
The Ladies' Adult Bible Class of
the Evangelical church met on
Monday evening, at the home of
their teacher, Mass L. Faust, and
held their annual election of of-
ficers, which resulted as follows;
Pres. Miss E. Rennie; Vice -Pres.,
Miss I. Lipphardt, •Secy Miss. .I
Lipphardt, Secy, Miss J. Lamont;
Trees,, Miss M. Gascho. After
the business was transacted the
evening was spent in a very social
way and a daitn lunch was ser-

A. and N. H. D, it will nolo, be

are under the impression that
