Zurich Fall Fair
Ideal weather and a record
eal<er crowd was the makings of
the Zurich Fall Fair last Thursday
afternoon. We do not recall of
ever seeing such a large crowd
present, which means large gate
receipts, and ti' ill put the society
in good financial standing.
As will be seen by the list of
prize winners, every line of ;,x-
hibits was well represented iron
the live stock to the children dep-
artment. Keen competition was
being shown, especially in the'shaw
house departments, as no finer
showing of vegetables, fruitslad-
ies' work, etc. was ever seen.
The Specials offered were also
of great 'interest, possibly the most
noted one being the one offered by
Mr. Louis A. Prang, for the long-
est stalk of corn, which was won
by Mr. Albert Hendrick of the
Sauble Line, by exhibiting a stalk
16 feet and 2 inches in length.
The Henderson Pipe Band fur-
nished splendid music in the aft-
ernoon and also put on the pro-
gram in the Town Hall in the ev-
ening, And in general, the Fair
wasa decided success.
Fallowing' is a list 'of the prize
winners~,
