Let us meet you at our School
Fair, to -morrow, Friday afternoon
.Quite a number from this vic-
inity attended Goderich Fair
last week.
Miss Gertrude Weber has ret-
urned to her home after spending
a few pleasant weeks at Woods-
tock. •
The Chicago Daily Tribune says;
Mrs. Catharine Hauch,, 77 years old
the widow of a minister and mot-
her of two ministers, a doctor, a
college professor, a public school,
principal, and two school teachers,
died at her daughter's home 3233
Cortez St. Chicago. Mrs. Hauch
was born in New York, but'follow-
ing her marriage to Rev. John P.
Bauch, lived in many different
parts of United States and Can-
ada ,her husband holding many
important posts. Two sons, J.
P. Hauch and S, M. Rauch are also
ministers, the former residing at
Kitchener, and the latter at Cred-
iton, Canada. Mrs. Hauch left
five other children -Prof. E. S.
Hauch of Rutter's College, •J. Ii.
Principal of Lloyd School, Cather-
ine and Rosa, teachers of Kalhoun
and Lafette Schools respectively,
and Dr. C. D. Hauch of Chicago. •
After the death of her husband 12
years ago, Mrs. Hauch moved to
Naperville and sevne years ago
to Chicago, where she resided with
her daughter,. Following the fun
eral service conducted by Bishop
•Seager on August 23, the remains
were brought to Kitchener and
buried beside those of her husband
and daughter Louisa, The latter
had taught in the public schools
rn ' Zurieh and Chicago, and died
18 yearn ago. The late Rev. ands
Mrs, Hauch ,spent a pastol'.al term
in Zurich during 1388 •-18"1,
SPORTS
Well, we won our, League, and
won it by a good margin. Other
teams are strengthening up for
1921. Yes! we'll he right there
too.
That Hotrum of Goderich who
won the 100 -yd. dash and diel
suhc excellent coaching for his
team, is certainly a marvel. His
name seemed familiar; but a long
time ago, the name now spells C.
T., A.

We would like to know where
Goderich team gets all their uni-
forms from. Too bad they have
not enough suits for their boys,
as ,no less than three different re-
galias were on their team that
played here Labor Day.
A. PEW CLIPPINGS
"Our Team" EASILY defeated
the Zurich team at Labor Day and
woncfirst prize. -Zurich with one-
tenth the population draws twice
the crowd that turn°" out here -
When all the teams are strength-
ened up, and, a better town added
to replace Crediton, which has be-
en the storm -centre for umpire -
'baiting and disorderliness all seas
on. -At the Zurich Tournament in
the afternoon, the spectators were.
treated to a fine exhibition of um-
pire -nagging, "Dick Tasker" for
.Clinton was on his bad behaviour
and pulled a "boner" by trying to
call balls and strikes and balk -balls
from his position in the put -field.
-The crowd were all with Goder-
ieh' in the afternoon, most of the
spectators being disgusted with
th attude of the Crediton players
who are anything but good sports.
--NoW for 1921. - Goderich Star.
•".Che Simcoes of Toronto but
called it Goderich team with only
..tr,e C;t,derich player, Bill .Barlow
on itt, won the tournament at Zur-
the on Labor `"Day. We know the
Goderich papers will be full of
"how our team won" and WE will
give Oiler write-up next week. -
In. the !no:n'ng the Zur.'ch l;oys lost
to Toronto by a score of 4-2.
Zurich had an imported battery
