Over 840,000 was paid out at
Delhi for strawberries by the Do-
minion Canners. These were not
all preserves at Delhi as on rush
days some Of the berries had to
be shipped elsewhere. One young
man, a returned soldier, had a
cheque for nearly $2,900 from six
acres.

five and six of "The Voters' List
Act, the copies reqruied by •said
sections to be so transmitted or
delivered of the list, made• pursu-
ant to said Act, of all persons ap-
pearing by the last revised Asses-
sment Roll of the said municipal-
ity at elections for members of the
Legislative Assembly and at mun-
icipal elections; and that saidlist
was first posted up at my office,
at the Village of Zurich on the 20th
day of August, 1920, and remains
there for inspection.
Electors are called upon to ex-
amine the said list, and, if any om-
issions or any other errors are
found therein, to take immediate
proceedings to have the said er-

On Friday afternoon last the
contractor finished the paving of
Main Street. For a time the
portionn orth of Wellington St.
will be under blockade.
Mr. and Mrs. G. Stanbury and
two children have returned from
a boat trip up the Lakes.
The pulling of the dutch set on-
ion crop is progressing favorably
many of the growers having their
onions pulled. and piled in heaps

friends of Goderich experienced
an au' emobile spill on Sunday last

west o'i Exeter. A steering rod
broke and the front wheels daub

stop. The ladies were thrown out
on the ground but only light bru-
ises ware sustained.
A Gelman trench mortar arrived
at the station on Thursday last ad-
dressed to The Reeve. It was
sent by the Canadian authorities,

The prize list for our school
flir has bean received and distr-
ibuted. Prizes are offered four or
five for each of the ninety-seven
entries, for grain, roots, vegetable
poultry, live stock, nature study
drawing, art, writing, manual train
ing, domestic science, flowers and
fruit, sports, public speaking, hit-
ching contest, parade and baby
show. No effort is being spared
to make this a success, Sept. 9th
.he date set. All pupils intend-
ing to enter 32 and 33 should sec-
ure from the Bank the necessary
form and have it filled out in good
time.
The Y. P. A., Convention is being
held here this week, and we expect
to make it a crowning success.

od boy. Sonie hundred delegates
are present.
Rev. Yager supplied at Grand
Bend Sunday afternoon and at
Crediton Sunday evening, ~while
Rev. Kellerman filled the pulpit
here. •
Our local baker is kept busy
night and day turning out the
loaves to supply his many austere -
ors. Grand Bend campers keep
him busy.
The flax is about all pulled now
and hauling is:on in full swing. The
crop is a good one and should
yield rich returns,

erville and Mrs. A. J. Brunner and
children of Iregon, Ill., are visit-
ing their parents at present.

urned home accompanied by her
sister, Mrs. Thos. Sherritt; who
will visit her mother in Windsor.
A horse belonging to Mr. S.
, Smith fell into a well on the farm
of Mr, E. Penhale, in Hay, and died
before it could be taken out. The
horse went through the platform
hind end first. . The well was
shallow being only ten feet deep.
By kicking with its feet and tos-
sing, its head the horse ,loosened
the earth around the top of the
well which fell down on the animal
which died before it could be re-
moved.

John Bradley of Mitchell,, aged
forty -•five years, died from heart
failure following a football match
between Mitchell and Seaforth in
the latter town last week. A
widow and daughter survive.
Mr. Thos. Gundry of Goderich, a
former sheriff's officer, has been
appointed deputy -sheriff, succeed-
ing- the late A, D. Camerana
