of oats in head. The T. Eaton Co.
Toronto, offer the choice of a cut
glass set, value. $5.75; a clock, val-
ued $6.00; or a drill, valued at $6.50
for the best ten pounds dairy but
ter in pound prints exhibited by a
maker who has not won an Eaton
prize -at any Fair since 1917.
Mr. Paul Kingston, of Forest,
will act .as judge on horses at the
Zurich Fall Pair. Mr. W. Thorn
of Lynedoch, as judge on cattle
and Hy. Goddard, of Listowel, as
judge on poultry.

newsppaer, a number have amalg-
amated and carried on but a num-
ber have been forced out of bus-
iness altogether. In the cote of
Toronto, withing the last few mon-
ths two papers have gone into
liquidation. The Tiines gave up
the ghost last fall and the Werl t
has 'assigned to G. T. Clarkson for
the benefit of its creditors. with
a view to re -organization it will
for the present, at least, be kept
as a. 'going concent.
