A By-law in under way fo'r
the amount of $20,000 to complete
the concrete road construction.
A pretty wedding took place at
the home of the bride's parents,
Me. and Mrs. Helson Kestle on
August 2nd at high noon, . when
their daughter ,Mise. Lulu, was racer
vied to- 142r. Joseph Follick -son of
Mr. and Mrs. E. A.. Follick. The
ceremony was ,performed by Rev.
James 'Kestle.
Thomas Clark of Exeter north,
was sent to Goderich on Monday
last, for atrial by Magistrate Taylor'
and Beavers on the charge ofhav-
ing fired -up the cement mixing
machine at the North end of the.;
village early Monday morning. Th-
ere was no water in the boiler and
it is badly damaged with the re-
sult that --the work of road mak-
ing is stopped for -a while. The
boy is not too wise and should be
put away for safe keeping.

oetrlinan has had the honor of be
ing ars 'eyewitness of a fine Silver
Grey ,fox.' running at large. This
has caused consid.erable enthusiasm
on the „Sauble north, and munlr
doubt is being .entertained as to
whether Dave saw any pelt on
the fox at all. However, it is
to be hoped that he made no mis-
take, and if the said fox can be
safety captured the' coming sea-
son, we think leer, Dewar is en-
titled to some remuneration for
hiskeen observation:

The Queen's Hotel .Blyth is be-
ing torn down by the Midland Wr-
ecking Co. of London.
On Saturday last Robbie, the 13
year old son of 1V Ir. Jas. lltcGregor,
dear Kippen, met with a painful
accident. The young lad was in
an apple tree' when he fell out,
and in failing to the ground, a dis-
tance of ,thirteen feet striking his
elbow and knocking the arm out
of place nt the shoulder. The
young lad was taken to Dr. Moir's
office, Howells, and the shouledr
bones set, ,hut they would not re-
main in Vace. He was afterwa-
rds removed Ito the hospital in
London where 1t- was 'found nece-
ssary to perforin an operation on
the shoulder, the. bine being pert-
ly turned around,
As an aftermath of the big cel-
ebration held at Blyth the other
week, some person or persons to
bk a notion that they would like
