EN BARRELS OF WHISKEY 1 A few days ago Inspector Tor- rance and Elliott called at the home of Jacob Webber in Seaforth to see how his supply or liquor was holding out. Mr. Webber told them that a stranger had come along en a recent night and' bo ught his entire stock, consisting of 1134 barrels of whiskey. On being asked who the stranger was, Mr.' Webber could not tell them, or would he say how much he got for the liquor, and, of course, did not know its destination. In court at Seaforth on Tuesday, Crown Attorney Seager reminded Magistrate Greigg that when this case was in court over two years ago, at the time the liquor was seized, Webber had sworn that he got the liquor for the use of him- self and his wife, and thought that the 12 barrels would perhaps not be enough for them, as it only meant a half a pint a day for 14 years. The liquor was held in costody for about two years, and was re- turned to Weber as a result of an order -in -council recommend- ed by the Minister of Justice. Webber pleaded guilty to the charge of selling in violation of the Dominion regulations, and the magistrate 'mnosed a fine of $ 0? I U;111 Cwf :fi. . . Don't bother to prepare the mix- ture; you can get this famous old recipe improved by the addition of other ingredients at a small cost, all ready for use. It is called Wyeth's Sago and Sulphur Compound. This can always be depended upon to bring back the natural color and lustre of your' hair. Everybody uses "Wyeth's" Sage and Sulphur Compound now because it darkens so naturally and evenly that nobody can tell it has been applied. You, simply dampen a sponge or soft brush with it and draw this through the hair, taking one small strand at a time; by morning ,the gray hairl'han. disappeared, and after another appli- eetion it'becomes beautifully dark•and appears glossy and lustrous, This ready -to -use preparation is a delight- ful toilet requisite for those who de- sire dark hair and a youthful appear- ance, 'ft is not intended for the cure, • touturr ouon or pr aventlo».
