FIFTH ANNIVERSARY
On Sunday, June 13th, theRev.
F. L Howald, S,T,M., of New Dun-
dee, Ont,, celebrated the fifth year
of installatioi\ in his first pariehe
Specialsermons were preached by
the pastor in German from Cor
13; 1-3, stressing the fundamental
principals . and practice of every
believer. The outward honesty of
an inward ;abiding love of God
and man, for all outward actionaa
:area but hyp!ocracy if God does not
dwelt in the heart. The after-
noon service was in the Manheim
church, when the Rev. 3, Koehle
of Massey, Ont., assisted and pr-
eached a forceful ,serration in• Eng-
lish to an attentive congregation.
The evening aserviee was held in
New Dundee when Pastor Koehle
+preached very appropriately on
"Fidelity" Tram Rev 2.10. He
made' an earnest appeal to all pre
esent, as also to the Christian ch-
urch, for a 'more narked faithful-
ness in their ,religious faith to
Christ, who .will only reward those
who pdved earnest and true thr-
oughout their 'life Special music

service. The attendance at all
services was well pleasing. On
Tueeday evening June 15, an anniv
eiteary social was held for both

Work on the Kenogami dant, in
the Province of Quebec, is reported
as progressing very well, and' the
$2,000,000 works Located at the up-
per part of the -Saguenay River are
expected to be completed within 15
months. As aleesult of these works,
the mills operated by the Price in-
terests will be kept in full activity
during the whole year, instead of
partly closing down in the winter
months, as they have had to do in
the past.
More than $12,000,000 worth of
equipment was added to the Cana-
dian Pacific Railway's service dur-
ing 1923. Ineluded were 16 Pacific
and 20 Mikado type locomotives, all
very powerful and equipped with

Fundy and the coastal waters ex-
