BEFORE .POLICE MAGISTRATE
The charges against Win. Stein
hoff, of London ,of having alchol
in violation of the Inland Rev-
enue Act ti^aa heard, by M.ag. Reid
at Goderich. Two gallons of al-
cohol were found in a car driven
by Steinnhoff in Stanley Tp, near
Bayfield, on Nov. 22nd. The alcohol
was in American containers and
the magistrate found that it had
paid the excise duty and imposed
a fine of $200 and costs. Steinhoff
had previously been fined $100 and
costs under the O.T'.A. In • con-
nection with a recent case against
Thornton Baker, of Exeter, under
the O,T,A., Baker is charged with
subornation of perjury and Andrew
Easton and Art -Delve of the same
town, are charged with perjury..
Mag. Reid heard the charges and
committed all three'for trial at the
next assizes.
