GRAND BEND
The death occurred on Dee. 4th of
William Holt, Sr., in Sarnia, where
he had lived for the past twenty ye-
ars. He was well and favorably know
in Stephen Township, coming to Ste-
phen with his parents many years
ago when he was a mere boy with his
father, settling on the 12th con. Mr.
Holt built the hotel at Khiva known
for many years as the "One Horse
Hotel." He was also the first Post
Master for 'Chive and he carried the
mail from Khiva to Shipka for many
years. He also built a hotel where the
Imperial Hotel now stands in the vil-
lage. For many years he was the peo-
ple's auctioneer. Was very fond of
.huntin and made many trips to Mus-
koka District. Retiring he went to
live in Sarnia. Deceased was never
sick to need the doctor in his life he
being in his 90th year. He leaves to
mourn his loss his aged partner, two
sons and three daughters. The fun-
eral was held to Exeter Union Cem
Bottled Ontario Honey for British
Consumers

Bottling arrangements are rapidly
being completed, and it is expected.

cattle market. This week at Birken-
head steers and heifers were quickly
cleared at advances averaging appro-
ximately 3 per head or, at the cur-
rent rate of exchange :111.31 per head
above last weeli's sales. There were
no Canadian cattle on the market,
owing to the narrow margin existing
as a reedit of the very adverse ,con-
ditions of exchange stir:' sales in. the
