Reid on Wednesday last charged of stealing gasoline from one of the county graders on the St. Marys road near Winchelsea. They were caught in the act by Traffie Officer Lever, who had been instruct- ed to be on the watch for offenders of this kind. The arrest was made as the youths were leaving after secur- ing a quantity of the gas. When the Officer, who had been watching the boys for some time, appeared, the culprits tried to escape in their car, but they were unsuccessful They were released on $100 bail each and to appear one week later for trial..
