Thirty thousand tons of Canadian
wheat are on ships that sailed for
France before June 16th, and the
owners of the wheat do not know
whether the. French ditty will be 85
cents, as it stood before June 16, or
$1.70 as it has stood since tha: date,
when France and Canada began their
tariff
war.
The annual Decoration services of
the Bronson Line Cemetery, Evang-
elical church, will be held on Sunday
Afternoon, July ard. at 2.30 o'clock
The Program will consist of Decor-
ation. of Graves, special singing, ad-
dresses and Musical Selections. Any-
one interested in those who have
gone on before, arae cordially invit-
ed to attend this big gathering.
SOLDAN , RE -UNION
A reunion of the Soldan family
was held at the home of Mr- and Mrs.
Henry Soldan, north of Hensali, on
Saturday, June 25th. The reunion
included members of the families of
'Mr. Soldan's father and his father's
brother and sisters and many relat-
ives met for the first time. Mrs. Mary
Stelek of Zurich had the distinction
of being the oldest member of the
group. Nearly eighty guests surround
ed the tables set in the orchard. The
afternoon was spent inathletic con-
tests, znusic and speeches. A greeting
by telegram from A, H. F. Stelck,
Dauphin, Man., was read. Guests we-
re present from Hensall, Zurich, Lon-
don„ Brussels, Bright West Ivlonkton,
Stratford, Hyde Parke, Shakespeare
in Ontario and from Flint, Marlette,
Peck, Dearborn, Pontiac, and Cale -

to the County Town, Goderich. Mr.
Neeb has many reasons to be pleased
with this appointment as it is claim

No dust prevention for the streets
of Zurich this year is the decision of
the Police Trustees. And we trust
that no one will entirely choke or
smuttier with the clouds of dust that
mak appear from some of the speed-
ing autos. But these are hard times
at present with little money avail-
able, and this is a considerable sav-
ing. .
Mrs. J. M. Rowntree Passes
Mrs. Louis A. Rountree, wife of
James M. Rountree, 25 Stanley St.,
London, and sister of the late W. ,T
Wray, former jeweler of that city,
died on Thursday, at her home from
heart attack. Deceased was a daugh-
ter of the late Sylvanue and Hannah
Wray, Mrs. Roundtree was barn near
Zurich 55 years ago. She went to
London at the age of 16 and had re-
sided there- ever since. She was a pflo-
minent member of Wesley United
Church, and for years had taken an
active part in women's organizations
there. She was a past president of the
Ladies' Aid of that church. Surviving
her besides her husband are one dau-
ghter, Mrs. J. F. G. Coiling of Lam-
beth; one son, Harold Rowntree of
Detroit; two brothers, Angus Wray
of London, of Wray Jewelers; Gar-
field of Regina, Sask; and one sister,
Mrs. Hodder of. Loudon. The funeral.
was held on Saturday afternoon, in-
terment was made in Woodland Cem-
etery, London. Mrs. Rowntree was
very well and favorably known by
many in the Zurich district, and
'-hen visiting in town usually stayed,
with Mr, and Mrs, 3, W, Iiotner.
