field., on Saturday .June. MX All the
relatives were extended the invitat-
ion to be .p.resent and: enjoy the day
at the lake. After dinner there were
sports for the young and prizes giv-
en, The game committee consisted of
Wilmer Webster and Mrs. Geo. John

A serious motha:• accident occurred'
on Sunday afternoon at Devon Cor-
ners, two miles south of Exeter on
the:. highway. Helen Lindsay, of Lon-
don, was driving her father, Dr. Lin-
dsay, and family, and in attempting
to turn west toward Grand Bend
missed the narrow turn and ditched
the car. The doctor's sister received
a fractured hip and was taken by
ambulance to London. The other oc-
eupants ,of the car were badly shak-
